************
Lance knocks on the door of the apartment.
In just a few seconds, the door is swung open revealing Shiro's face.
"Hey, Lance. You ready to be a rockstar?"
Lance cringes just a bit at the dad tone of his voice, but nods and smiles with fake enthusiasm.
Shiro leads Lance into the apartment, making his way to the small living room where the bass was being kept.
It seems like no one else is in the apartment, which Lance is immensely grateful for.
"Okay, so to begin, we should learn the parts of the bass, alright? Then we'll go on to setting up."
Lance swallowed thickly and nodded. Why am I so nervous?
Shiro picks up the black bass from its stand, and brings it over to the couch.
"C'mon, sit over here," Shiro pats the space next to him, "So this is the neck..."
*
It had been approximately an hour since Lance first arrived and he now knows what the bridge, pickup and the head stock are.
Lance is also tired of hearing the E, A, D, &G pitches.
He thought knew how to tune since he used to play the trumpet but nope. Who would've thought tuning a bass would be different than tuning a trumpet?
And..... that's all he's learned so far. He wasn't good at tuning, but Shiro said it would take a while.
Lance had asked Shiro what chores he should do, since it was part of the agreement, but Shiro just raised an eyebrow and said he only wanted Lance to show up more. To visit them at the apartment more, that he could even bring his siblings if he wanted to.
Of course, Lance wasn't okay with that. He was taking time out of Shiro's day. He has to do something.
"Are you sure? I mean I can do-"
"No. Just come more often. You're a cool dude. And we all miss you."
Lance didn't believe that, but he knew arguing wouldn't do anything else but annoy Shiro. And that's the last thing he wants to do.
"Fine. But don't do the dishes anymore. Cuz I'm going to be doing them." Lance relents.
Shiro chuckles and his lips twitch into a small smile. "Yeah, Okay."

"Wow, Hunk. That was pretty quick." Lance marvels as he sees Keith plug in the electric guitar to the amp.
"Yeah, I had dinner at Shay's house and casually brought it up. They're lovely people." Hunk replies, while adjusting the drum set.
The four of them were currently in Hunk's garage, setting up for practice.
Pidge didn't really know what they were gonna do or what was going to happen, but at least they were here. And that was a start.
"So... Pidge, what are you gonna do?" Lance asked, "I mean do you have your.. edm things?"
"'EDM things' he says," Pidge mocks, "No. I'll do stuff from my laptop. Although I'll still be able to create electronic music, but I'll probably never have all the equipment I want... ah, synthesizers and mixers, why are you so expensive?" Pidge moaned to himself.
