✧ Selena's p.o.v. ✧

I held my mother tightly as I silently sobbed in her arms. I really couldn't hold my emotions in for the longest. I really did miss her. After what seemed like an eternity, she suddenly broke our embrace and looked right at me. "Hija, come on in! It's a bit chilly out here, c'mon!" she cheerfully exclaimed. Her eyes landed right onto my husband. "You must be Christopher, am I right?" Shrugging his shoulders in a quick reply, my husband stuck out one of his hands for a handshake. "I go by Chris, but it's very nice to finally meet you," a warm smile spread across his lips.

We all finally made our way inside my mom's house. It was honestly so wonderful; the decor and atmosphere were vintage themed all around. This was absolute art to my eyes.

As Chris and I sat got settled down for some coffee my mom offered us, the kids wandered around the house curiously. I'm surprised my mom would actually let them despite her being so strict with me during my childhood.

Sighing happily, I stood up to help my mom set up the dining table. "I really missed you, mommy. It just feels so great after so much time," my lips parted. My mother glanced at me with a soft smile. "Oh cariño, you have no clue how feliz I am. Mi niña bonita!" She kissed the side of my head. This feels so great.

"Mommy look what I found! Look at it!"
Estella shouted as she came jumping up and down towards me with utter excitement. My eyes soon focused on what she held in her petite hand; an old Polaroid of what seemed to be a younger version of my mom and a tan slim boy. He was certainly taller than her and was holding her with both his arms around her neck. This boy had somewhat greasy and pitch black long hair that almost covered his eyes. They both were captured laughing at the moment.

How come I've never seen this before? I swear I would always look through every picture she had down in the basement? Huh, that's strange. My mom was too distracted pouring in the cups of coffee to even notice Estella and I. "Um, amá? Is this you?"  My words grabbed her attention. As soon as she turned around to face the picture I held in my hand, her eyes widened slowly. "Where..Where did you find that?"

Right when I was about to respond, Lailani interrupted. "Me and Estella went down to the basement and we saw a huge pile of pictures so we decided to look at them, abuela! We also saw this funny looking picture!" She beamed with slight giggling. I was still confused and in need of answers. Looking at both me and Chris slowly, my mom took a deep breath and sat down, motioning for me to do so as well. "Hija, there's something I've been needing to tell you for the longest time."
