The whole way home Nialls words flooded my head.
Dont get too close to me. Ill just hurt you...
Those seemed to be my mothers exact words on my father. Dont get too close to him. He'll just hurt you. I remember her tone, her voice, her eyes. It hurt me to see her like that. I tried blinking away the tears but they escaped. My vision was foggy as I swerved around the road. I felt my car bump as I went over the ridges and into the center of the road. My crying was uncontrollable. I was driving on the wrong side of the road but I didnt care. An approaching car honked at me and I quickly swerved away. They flicked me off as they passed. I wiped my tears with the back of my hand.
I tried to stop crying but I couldnt. Remembering my past all at once was too much. I couldnt see the road much since it was dark. All I remember was a faint honk and a bright light.
