Amanda

I do not like going to school but actually going there is a way to escape the harsh reality that my life has put forward for me to deal with.

There were times I enjoyed in school, you can think of me as a total nutcase but you guys don't understand that ‘going to the school’ is better than ‘living in a hell’.

Usually I am rule following freak but at times I have changed that thing. One such incident happened at the famous and pathetic event known as ‘Sports Day’.

Oh god I mean we practise sports throughout our life than what is the fucking need of a separate freak Sports Day.

All the senior class students are crammed up in this awfully embarrassing thing known as ‘march past’ in which poor students are made to walk a hell lot in perfect sync of footsteps and forearms in front of the bloody chief guest and the principal and big population of overly excited parents.

The most important thing is it is according to houses. Four houses, red house, blue house, green house and the yellow house.

I belong to the blue, Violet is in yellow, Samantha is in red and Kristen in green. This meant that we would have to parade accordingly which is with other awful kids.

The sad part is blue house is overly dedicated and so are the teachers. We spent two long hours for march past everyday in which we could have completed a whole lesson.

Our school teachers still did not know in which house most of the students belong so during practise violet practised with me and Samantha practised with Kristen.

So far no one identified that people are changing the houses.

Then one pleasant morning, Violet and Samantha had a wonderful idea that the four of us join the green house for practise.

This could be really risky and I denied to do such thing.

“No, this is dumb dude everyone knows we are friends and we could easily get caught..to much risk” I shook my head.

“Come on Amy, you won't do any fun in your school time, come on I assure nothing would go wrong..” That sentence blinded my mind with mischievousness.

I thought what could possibly go wrong, let's give it a try.

I didn't have a shade of an idea that everything can possibly go wrong after that.

So me and my friends, all of us started practising in green house. Actually it was quite good at first as the green house never really bothers practising seriously.

Then this dementor lady, our ex- english teacher stepped in and somehow we were able to fool her.

Then came the overly enthusiastic teacher's pet Lyra and she told the dementor lady about our little mischief.

Dementor lady walking towards me and I could practically see steam come out of her body.

“Which house are you in??” She asked.

“Green.” I lied easily.

Then the old lady tried another trick.

“Which color shirt do you wear in the mondays??” She asked again.

Even a five year old wouldn't have been fooled by this.

“Green” I replied.

She moved to Samantha.

“Which house are you in??” She shouted at her.

She sighed.

“Red.” She accepted.
