I. Strawberry Van

I sit straight up from my bed, hair flying everywhere. The horn of a car honking rings out through my home. I hear my phone ringing, causing me to quickly pick it up, leaning over the side of my bed to my discarded phone on the floor. It was Savanna, one my most bestest friends. I quickly answer my phone, knowing well how angry she can get when you don't pick up the phone, having to wait those few "agonizing" seconds of waiting.

"Anderson Reynolds, the heck are you? You better not be in bed again or so help me I will..."

She continued her rant, me not listening to her as I quickly got the clothes I was going to wear for the day. This ritual was an everyday occurance with our small little friend group. Her yelling at me over the phone, while I got dressed with my phone pressed tightly against my ear and shoulder. There was rarely a day were this didn't happen.

I quickly grabbed my leather messenger bag from the foot of my bed, running my fingers through my long tangled locks of strawberry blonde hair. I wish I could wear my comfortable hoodie and sweats, however my popular and preppy best friend had decide to hide my own wardrobe and replace it with what she likes to call "trendy". I now only own flowy shirts, skinny jeans, and dresses, along with a few skirts thrown in.

I could see the shiny red convertible with its top down, belonging my other and last best friend, Christian. His bright blonde hair noticeable, unlike the bright blue eyes hidden by a pair of dark sunglasses. We had all known each other for years, 11 to be exact. I could remember that day perfectly, after all, how could I forget the day that I found my true family?

Flashback
"Daddy!" cried a little boy, his hair bouncing as he ran around a small town Walmart in California. "Daddy!" the boy cried again, frantically running around the store. The boy didn't seem to be looking were he was going and bumped into two little gist who appeared to be around the same age.

"So-sorry." stuttered one of the little girls. She harbored dark strawberry blonde hair that she wore in two pigtails with a pair of worn jeans and a t-shirt with a hole in the side of it. She also had a pair of black glasses that tended to slip off her nose. She pushed her glasses back up and shyly stuck her hands out to help the other children who still sat on the ground.

"That's alright!" Exclaimed the other dark haired girl, her deep brown eyes shining. "But do you happen to know where my mommy is?" The young boys eyes started to fill with tears again as he cried out in his little voice, " I don't know where my daddy is either!"

"It's okay! We'll find them for sure!" the strawberry blonde spoke, a bright smile lighting up her face. " my names Anderson and I'm this many." exclaimed the young girl, proudly holding up 5 fingers.

She lived in an orphanage, having been told her real parents had passed away in a animal attack when she was a measly one years old. She was brought to the orphanage by a nice old couple who happened to find her crying inside a stroller next to her parents corpses. She couldn't really afford schooling and stayed at the orphanage constantly, however Ms. Amara had let her come with her to buy groceries for the orphanage.

" My name is Christian and am the same age as you! What about you?" He questions the other girl with the dark hair.

"Savanna and I happen to be the same age as you two to. We should be friends! I've never had friends before, besides my little sister." the little girl now known as Savanna said.

The other two children nodded their heads erratically, smiles lining their faces. They all laugh and talk as they stride off, in search of the parents of Savanna and Christian.

End of Flashback

They were still close, however they had begun to drift apart as of late. Savanna and Christian were hanging out with their "popular friends". They had also ditched her a couple times, canceling their plans saying they had other things they had to do.

Though she couldn't really blame them, Anderson herself had been more antisocial lately. She was trying her hardest, trying to focus on her education. She had a horrible combination of "illnesses".

She was born with ADHD and Dyslexia, which didn't help whatsoever. Usually her ONLY friends, who suffered from the same problems as her, would get together after school where they would work on their assignments together. However, as you can see, they haven't been able to get together lately.

" Hello? Andy? Earth to Andy... You in there somewhere?" questioned Christian. (Haha)

"So-sorry? What did you say?" Anderson asked her friend, embarrassed for having spaced out.

They both just chuckled at her, used to how she acted by now. After all, they had known each other for years.

"We we're pointing out the fact that there seems to be new students. Over there." Savanna said, still laughing slightly.

In fact, the two were correct. At the front curb of the school inform the of the main doors sat a car, it was a big white van, that seemed to be a strawberry service van from someplace in New York (license plates , of course.) Strange... maybe she should welcome them, become friends possibly.

Little did I
Anderson know, she would go on a lifetime of adventure with that group. Changing her life forever.
