We were up within seconds and I chucked Shawn's clothes at him. We were swearing and mumbling in hushed tones as we tried to find a suitable hiding spot.

"Under my bed!" I mouthed, pointing towards my bed. He tilted his head and I rolled my eyes.

"Cassie!?" Amber shouted from the opposition side of the door.

"I'll be there in a second!" I started to push Shawn towards the bed before he realised what I had meant. Once he had slide under, I grabbed some random empty bags and covered up the gap.

I looked around to see if there was any trace of Shawn being here but didn't have time to finishes as Amber started to knock repeatedly on the door.

Finally, I opened it. She shoved past me and said, "Jeez, grandma, what took you so long?" She giggled and fell onto her bed with a sigh.

"Sorry, I was, um..." I struggled to think of a reasonable excuse but failed miserably.

"Save it, I'll let you off this time." She smirked before catching sight of something on the floor. Damn it. How did I forget about the flowers?

"So, boy trouble. And you didn't tell me?" I scratched the back of my neck, unable to produce words.

"Who is he? How did you meet? Where did you meet? What went wrong?" Questions where fired my way and I now realised that I was not good in situations like this. Basically I was a terrible liar.

"Umm his name?" She nodded eagerly. "S-Sebastian. Yeah, Sebastian." I pursed my lips and stood there awkwardly.

"Do I know him?" I shook my head violently. "Um, I know him from back home."

"Tell me about him!" Wow, Amber was way too excited about my non-existence love life with Sebastian.

"Well, um, we met at school. He was a classmate and um yeah. We were lab partners." I searched my brain for a reason why I was mad at 'Sebastian'.

"He said that it would be best if we didn't see each other like that anymore once I moved. Long distance relationships don't usually work out. But he wants me back now." Pretty good, Cassie, pretty good.

"Are you going to? Get back together with him?" I smiled to myself.

"No. It's time for something new. You know?" She smiled back to me and said, "Wow, girl! You have more of a love life than I could've guessed!"

I laughed to myself and said, "You have no idea." I then remembered that Shawn was currently laying underneath my bed.

It seemed that the odds were in my favour that day as Amber then went to take a showers. Shawn rolled out from under me bed, still in his underwear. He posed and grinned a cheesy smile up at me and I couldn't help but laugh.

"What's so funny?" I heard Amber ask from the bathroom. "Just an Instagram post." Wow. My lying skills were improving by a lot.

Shawn stood up and put his clothes back on. On his way out, he stopped in front of me, and left me with one more lingering kiss. Just from that, I felt breathless and weak in the knees.

"Don't forget the homework." He whispered into my ear before backing out, still facing me and leaving, closing the door quietly behind him. I smiled to myself.

As I lay down on my bed, I looked up and couldn't help but think about Shawn with that other girl. I jumped when I heard a door creek but I soon realised that it was only Amber.

I knew that once again, I wouldn't be able to sleep with everything that had happened. Ever since Shawn showed up, my life had been turned upside down.
