He was ill that day. I can't figure out whether he's avoiding me or is truly ill. We had Mrs Patel today, a substitute teacher who didn't seem to care about what we were doing as long as we were all there.

Zac took this as a good opportunity to talk to me without receiving a death glare from Shawn. I'm still wrapping my head around what made him like that but every time I think about him, I think about what he had said to me the day before.

I'm sure that he was just being nice and that he was nice to a lot of his student. But the way he held me wasn't 'nice', it was special.

"Earth to Cassie?!" I saw a hand waving in front of my face, breaking me out of my daze. My gaze traced the arm back to no other than Zac. His brows where furrowed as he caught my attention.

"Huh?" I replied, confused. "I've been talking to you for a couple of minutes now." He looked down, which only triggered my daydream once more.

"You shouldn't look down. Your eyes are beautiful."

"Cassie your doing it again. Are you okay?" I looked up, just like Shawn told me to, and told Zac that I was sorry and he now had my undivided attention.

"Anyway, I was just saying that me and my friends are heading into the city tonight. Maybe hit a club or two. You in?" Hope danced in his eyes, compelling me to say yes.

"Have you got a fake ID?" He smiled a mischievous smile when I nodded.

A thought suddenly popped into my head. "Can I bring a friend?" I batted my eyelashes, knowing it would influence him. Sure enough, he said, "Um yeah. Sure. The more the merrier I guess."

I bared my teeth and when the final bell sounded, I whizzed back to my dorm. When I arrived, Amber was perched at the end of her bed, playing a game on her phone. "Yes! Oh yeah baby! Level 14 complete!" She threw her hands the the air and then spotted me.

"You never saw that." We both burst out in laughter and after finally calming down I told her about the clubs. She didn't hesitate for even one beat before agreeing to come.

"But first, we must look the part." She smirked before heading over to my wardrobe. I hadn't thought to pack anything for this kind of event, but one short, tight dress. The others things I had brought with me were either too formal or casual.

Just as I had expected, Amber squealed in delight when she spotted the dress. She pulled it out and handed it to me.

I shook my head. "No, not happening."

Obviously, she protested. "Oh come on! It would look great on you Cassie! Please at least try it. It won't hurt to try it. Besides, why did you pack it if you're not going to wear it." She placed a hand on her hip and pointed towards the bathroom.

I rolled my eyes but agreed. I took off my casual denim jeans and my blue floral top and pulled the tight fabric over my head until it rested perfectly on my body. I looked at myself in the mirror. Could I pull this off? The dress was black and ended mid thigh. The top of the dress was lace. It went down my shoulders and arms and had a gap to show off some cleavage between the lace and the main fabric.

I heard Amber telling me to hurry up so I final unlocked the door and walked into the main room. She gasped and started to jump around.

"OMG IT'S PERFECT! You just have to wear it. Damn girl, with all those jeans and loose tops you wear, I had no idea that you had the literal perfect body! You're so lucky!"

I giggled before attempting to pull it down, feeling self conscious. A few minutes later, Amber had found an old dress of hers which also clung to her body. It was a beautiful shade of red and was off the shoulder. It had long sleeves and it's length was longer than mine, reaching her knees.

We both chose black heels and quickly did our hair and makeup. Looking at the time, I realised that Zac would be here an minute now. As if he could read my thoughts, I heard a knock on the door. I opened it to find Zac and his mates standing behind him. Surprisingly, they were all males. I mentally praised myself for asking Amber to come, otherwise things would have been awkward.

Zac eyes had landed somewhere I was uncomfortable with so I crossed my arms over my breasts and coughed. "Oh um h-hey Cassie." He cleared his throat, having a hard time looking away. "You look smoking by the way." His friends nodded in agreement and one whistled.

"Well you clean up good yourself."
He was wearing a white shirt with the top two buttons undone and some casual jeans. I could tell that he had shaved and made an effort not to look too casual which had paid off.

Soon enough, Amber joined me by the door. More whistles came from the three guys standing behind Zac. I could tell that Amber was enjoying the attention and was also taking a certain interest in the one standing in the middle. He had blonde hair and a good fashion sense. That was all Amber needed to strut up to him and whisper in his ear. As she did so, his eyes widened and I could tell that he was looking forward to this night ahead.
