On Monday morning I was woken up by Ambers music blasting in my ears.
"Sorry!" I heard her yell from the bathroom, "It's my alarm and I forgot to turn it off last night."

"No don't worry it's actually helpful. I would've slept through my first class if it wasn't for that. Annoying, but helpful."

I hauled myself out of bed and exchanged places with Amber for the bathroom. I had the worlds quickest shower before getting changed and ready for the day.

I grabbed a yogurt out of our mini fridge and decided that that would have to do. I collected and the stationary I may need for the lesson and walked over to the door.

I was stopped by Amber shouting out, "When you get back I will say 'I told you so'. There's no questioning it."

I rolled my eyes at her and as I closed the door I whispered to myself, "If you say so. Let's see if this guy is for real."

I ended up overestimating the time it would take to get to the classroom by 15 minutes. I leaned again the wall until I heard noises coming from I did the classroom. Perhaps this Mr Mendes was already in the room.

I took the risk and peeked through the door. Sure enough, a tall, dark haired, handsome man stood by a desk to the left of the big classroom.

I must of made a noise as he suddenly whipped around and faced me. I quickly leaned back against the wall and acted as casual as I could.

Sure enough, within seconds the door opened and out came the God. We held eye contact for what seemed like forever before I looked down.

"Um-I-um... sorry I'm early it's just I-um overestimated the um time it would take to get here..." by the end I was almost certain that he couldn't hear me as I had trailed off.

"Don't worry, its fine. You're not going to get into trouble for being early." His. Voice. I was glad to see that he had a sense of humour and he ended with an award winning smile.

Canadian...
"What was that?" He asked coming closer. I realised that I must of said that out loud.

"Oh, nothing." I replied, heat rushing to my cheeks.

"Do you want to come in?" He asked, gesturing to the door.
"Sure." We walked in together, his hand on my lower back, guiding me. The sensation from just that would be enough to last me through the lesson.

"What's your name? Might get a head start on learning the new students names." There's that smile again.

"I-Um, I'm Cassiop- well... Cassie." Well. This was awkward.

"Were you about to say Cassiopeia?" I nodded, "I love that name. It's so unique." I looked up at him to see if he was kidding, but his face remained serious.

"Just take a seat anywhere, you can do whatever for another few minutes." He flashed a smile and watched me picking a place to sit.

I felt like if I picked the wrong place, I would be punished by the way he was watching me. It was almost like a test. If I say at the back, I would seem tardy and not interested, but if I sat at the front then I would seem like a teachers pet, a goodie two shoes and a little too interested.

I ended up sitting three rows from the front, I'd rather seem more interested that not. Mr Mendes seemed satisfied as he simply went back to his desk and went through some papers.

I sat there, not really knowing what to do. Every now and then, Mr Mendes would look up at me and as the nervous wreck I am, I would always look down with a blush rising to my cheeks.

It seemed silly, but if anyone else was in my situation, they would've done the same... except Amber. She would've winked and ran out the room giggling to the worlds end.

In what seemed like a lifetime, the other student started filling the classroom. Some whistled at Mr Mendes whilst other just stared at him from a far.

Once everyone had settled down Mr Mendes spoke up, "Welcome to my class, for those of you that don't know me, I'm Mr Mendes and I'll be your main teacher this year. Any questions?"

Dozens of hands immediately went up (mainly the girls. Shocker).

Mr Mendes picked on a girl with Strawberry blonde hair sitting at the back. "What do you mean by main teacher?"

"Well, I'll teach you from Monday-Thursday and Friday is my day off so you will have Mr Miller." He replied.

The girl pouted, "Shame." The girls around her giggled.

The next girl asked if he was from Canada. She obviously just wanted to speak to him, no matter who you are, you could automatically place him from there.

Many of the questions were about his childhood and how he was inspired to be a teacher.

One asked what his first name was, he replied by saying that he may tell us another time.

Finally, he moved on to the last hand up. "Are you... you know... single?" The girl said with traces of hope lacing her tone.

"Yes," he looked over directly at me, "yes I am."

A couple of people turned to face me. Did that really just happen!?
