"I'm in school I don't need another lecture." I sigh.
"Well clearly you do." Andy snaps. "I've heard about everything you've done, everyone is talking about it."
"Good. People might as well know who I am upfront rather than slowly discover it." I state.
"You said you were going to be nice."
"No I said I'd be on my best behaviour, that was it. They came for me I didn't start talking to them." I explain.
"Is this what you want? You want the exact same reputation you had in our old town? You had a chance to start over."
"I didn't want a chance to start over!" I shout. "You did. You and mom but not me, I was happy there."
"You can be happy here too. But not if you're acting like this."
"You want to see me at my worst then I'll show you it." I snap, taking a step but Andy grabs my wrist and pulls me back.
"When are you ever going to grow up?" He asks me.
"You are not my father." I snap.
"You're right I'm not. But I'm all you've got." Andy says.
I scowl at him before storming back over to Val and Jason. "Everything okay?" Val asks.
"Yeah just family drama that's all." I reply with a sigh.

Lunch soon comes around and I sit at a table with Jason and Val. "So you're the girl I've been hearing about." A guy sat at the table says.
"In the flesh." I smile.
"I'm Reggie by the way and this is Harris." He says.
"Hayley." I reply, stuffing a few chips into my mouth.
"I know." Reggie replies. "In a non weird way."
"Most people know who you are." Harris says.
"And who am I?" I ask.
"The girl that has all the cheerleaders scared. The one chance this school has at breaking the hierarchy ladder." Harries replies.
"Good." I smile. "That's on the lines of what I'm going for."
"Well you've certainly made an impression on the school that's for sure." Jason says.
"I can't be that bad if you guys are still here." I say. "Unless Val is making you."
"Nope." Reggie says.
"You seem pretty cool." Jason adds.
"Thanks for the cool approval." I scoff.
"Besides with you on our side I feel untouchable." Harris laughs.
"So which category are you guys in?" I ask.
"What?" Val asks.
"I have this thing with categories." I reply. "You're not the troublemakers or the populars, I don't get the nerdy vibe off you."
"I think we're just the nice ones." Val laughs.
"Makes sense."
The rest of the day passes by. No more trouble from anyone really and I head home at the end of the days leaving Brandon alone in the closet. I have no idea how long he waited.
"How was your day?" I ask.
"Fine." Andy replies.
"I'll be in my room if you need me." I say.
"And what I said about dad-"
"Forget it, I have." I interrupt not wanting a heart to heart conversation.
"Moms working late again want to order pizza?"
"She's always working late." I reply. "Order what ever you want, I'm not hungry."
I walk up the stairs and into my room. I lay down on my double bed and look at my dull grey walls. I need to decorate.
The next morning I get ready for school and intend on behaving but I'm sure that won't go to plan.
After showing, brushing my teeth and changing, I thrown on my leather jacket before heading to school with Andy. "No trouble." He reminds me.
"We'll see."
