Months later:
Today is the last day of high school; the end of the mean girls, the end of the hierarchy and honestly I cannot wait, I'm riding the top of it now with Jordan but I still can't wait to stick it to Amelia.
Sneaking into the house at seven am I grab a change of clothes and brush my teeth before tying my messy brown hair up. "Hayley." Andy says, startling me slight.
"Hey bro." I reply quietly, turning around to look at him. "I was just heading to school."
"At least let me give you a ride." He suggests.
"I don't think that's a good idea." I sigh.
"What are big brothers for? That's what you said on the first day remember, when you wanted a free ride."
"Fine." I reply. "But no talking."
* * * * * *
We sit in the car, driving in silence. Andy pulls up and flicks the lock on the doors on. "Why don't you come home Hayley?"
"You know why." I answer. "Mom is abusive and unsteady, I've wanted to leave for so long. Jordan and I are going strong, it's only a matter of time before I collect all my stuff."
"Mom misses you, I miss you."
"You can come see me. Not her. But we can still see each other and hang out."
Both our heads turn to the school as the bell rings loudly. "I have to go, can you let me out?"
Andy nods, opening the car. We both get out. I walk much faster than him to class but before I make it a hand stretches out of an empty classroom and pulls me in. "Why do you always do that?" I chuckle, pushing Jordan.
"Because it's funny." He scoffs, pulling me closer and kissing me. "Why are you so late?"
"Because my boyfriend pulled me into an empty classroom of a make out session." I reply.
"Hilarious." He eye rolls. "But really? I woke up and you were gone."
"I went back home to get a change of clothes, Andy gave me a ride." I answer.
"And..?"
"And nothing's changed." I answer, walking out of the classroom with him on my tail.
"Where were you two?" The teacher asks as soon as we enter the classroom.
"Smashing." Brandon coughs.
"Practise ran late." Jordan lies.
"I'm just late." I answer with an eye roll, sitting at my desk.
She begins the lesson, knowing she cannot argue with us.
At the end of the day Quinn and Carter come over to me. "Happy last day." Quinn smiles with a shaky voice.
"Thanks." I smile. "You too."
"I'm going to miss you." Carter says.
"You're going to miss me? We'll see each other again." I laugh.
"Will we?" Quinn questions.
"You may be a cocky bitch but you got brains." Carter answers.
"We're all ending up in jail." Hunter sighs.
"Not straight away." Jordan smirks, walking over.
"Yeah but you guys got collage and scholarships, we don't." Carter says.
"We just wanted to say bye." Quinn smiles, hugging me. "You've been a great friend."
Next Carter hugs me, squeezing me tightly. "Sucks they had to tear us apart." He whispers.
"I'll see you around, you'll probably end up in the cell next to me." Hunter chuckles.
"Most likely." I smile.
The three walk over to their bikes and get on. I look over and see Val, she's gesturing for me to go over. Do I?
