"What are you talking about?" I question, completely confused.
"I want to believe that you couldn't do this but I don't know what you're capable of anymore." Andy says.
"Capable of what?"
"Murder." He answers.
"Are you crazy? Of course I wouldn't do that!" I exclaim. "Who was it?"
"Lauren Jones." He answers.
"Red hair?" I question, he nods. "W-what happened to her?"
"During the fire bell she had a panic attack so the school sent her home. She left about twenty minutes before you and your little bikers snuck out."
"Andy I didn't do this." I snap. "They didn't do this."
"You're each other alibis no one else can prove a thing of your appearance." Andy says.
"We went to a bar full of people."
"Let me guess Snake Skin?" He questions.
"I think that was the name I can't really remember."
"We'll snake skin is run by Hunter's dad, it'd be easy for him to lie."
I rest my head in my hands on close my eyes for a minute, trying to take myself away from the situation. "How?" I ask, sitting up. "How did she die?"
"She was stabbed, left to bleed out." He answers.
"Does mom know?"
"She's on her way home."
"I can't be here." I say.
"Well you can't leave." Andy states.
"She threw a glass at my head for giving her sass, imagine what she'll do if she thinks I'm anyway responsible for this."
"Running makes you look guilty."
"I'm not running I'm walking." I laugh.
"Hayley what the fuck. When are you ever going to stop making jokes?"
"I'm sorry." I sigh. "She'll listen to you, clear my name to her, please."
"Fine." He says. "But after this whole thing you have to change."
"Whatever you say." I sprint upstairs and grab a few more things before sneaking out and heading to Val's house.
I knock on the door and it quickly opens. Val steps outside. "Hey." I say suspiciously.
"You can't be here." She whispers, handing me my bag from the other night.
"Why not?"
"I know you didn't do what some people think you did to Lauren, you let me in and I know you're so nice and sweet." She explains. "But my parents won't let you stay here, they say if you come to the house they'll call the cops."
"Are you serious?" I question.
"I'm sorry Hayley, I'll call you." She sighs.
"Let me guess, the boys are the same?"
"I have to go." Val says with remorse in her voice as she shuts the door.
"This is a fucking joke." I snap.
In rage I pick up a stone and toss it between my two hands before skimming it through the window of Val's parents.
Quickly, I put my stuff in my bag before swinging it over my shoulder and heading to my last option, Jordan's house.
