1692:
I mumbled to myself angrily as I sweeped up the tavern while using small bits of magic to dust off tables and shelves by themselves. Abigail came bounding down the stairs and stopped at the bottom when she saw me, a small smirk making it's way up her face. "Hello Gabrielle." She says softly yet there's a wicked gleam behind her eyes. I sigh.

"Hello, Abigail. Is there something you need?" I ask impatiently. She giggles and taps a finger, and the magic dusting stops.

"I thought you said using magic for evil is bad, Gabrielle." She tisks. I set the broom down and turn to her with a scowl, crossing my hands over my chest.

"If you don't need anything Abigail then get out! I have to finish cleaning." I say through grit teeth.

"Because uncle caught you hanging around that Niklaus character right?" She asks devilishly. I narrow my eyes at her.

"What do you know?" I ask her, taking a dangerous step towards her. She instinctively took a step back at the flare of magic in my aura surrounded me.

"More then you think." She says back, her voice strong despite her hesitance. "Niklaus isn't a normal human is he? Could he be a warloc or a werewolf or a...vampire?" She asks. She flies across the room in seconds her body magically glueing to the wall. Her eyes shown with fear combined with the usual evil dark undertone nobody else could see.

"Listen here cousin, I tolerate your little schemes because I can't stop you, but I can very well stop you from doing something to Klaus. I am still the elder here, Abigail. I still have the more power and if you want to live to see another sunrise I suggest you keep your mouth shut and your magic locked tight away because I could kill you right now and it could be the cause of your 'witch' friends." I hiss at her furiously. Her eyes take a new edge of terror as she struggles to pull away from the wall helplessly.

"You'll regret threatening me, cousin." She hisses back but it's not as venom filled as before, instead fear lacing her every word. I let her fall to the ground.

"I don't think I will. I really don't want to hurt you or anyone else Abby and I don't plan too, as long as you do what your told." I snap back. She stands up and brushes herself off, sends me a final terror-filled glare and scurries off. I give a heavy sigh and try to shake off my anger. I grab the broom and turn to sweep again when I almost run right into Klaus.

"You are quite cruel when you have to be aren't you, Gabrielle?"

Present:

I take a deep breath and jump down into the tunnels, following the voices of Rebekah and Elena. I meet them at the end of the tunnel and Elena looks almost relieved to see me. "Arielle." She says in surprise. I turn away from her.

"Everything's going to plan at the moment. Elijah has just spoken to Damon and Stefan and they're doing their job. Elena's look is betrayed and most importantly hurt.

"You're helping them?" She asks through gritted teeth. I turn my steely gaze to her.

"Yes I am." I respond smoothly.

"Why? I did what I had to, to save everyone. You're doing this as revenge. Do you really hate me that much now Ari?" She asks, angry tears springing to her eyes.

"Elena how many dopplegangers does it take to screw in a lightbulb?" I ask seriously. She doesn't respond, her jaw tightening. I shurg. "I don't know, but it only takes one to stab you in the back." I hiss. Her jaw drops.

"But you're wrong. I don't hate you Elena and I'm not doing this for revenge. I'm doing this for someone I care about. And I'm sorry but it really comes down to the factor in the end who do I care most about you, or him? I choose him. Just like you'll choose Jeremy and Damon and Stefan and Bonnie and Caroline and Matt and the list could go on. You'll always choose them. I'll always choose him." I say softly.
