Liza was still sleeping although I drove all night I had all this energy. I got in my car and went to Liza's mom and dads house
I knocked on the door and her dad opened up
Ld- hey son how was your trip
D- it was amazing New York is beautiful
Ld- where's Liza
D- she's sleeping we got in pretty late last night
Lm- David!
D- hey mom
She come cover and gives me a really big hug
Lm- what's on your neck dear
She licked her finger and tried to wipe off what was most likely a hickey
D- oh nothing
Lm- your probably here to see your kids
D- yes
Lm- I'll grab them
She comes out with Tess and Mitchell
Tess- dadda
I look at them in shock
Lm- did she just say her first words
D- I think she did. Yes hi baby how are you
She put her finger on my nose
Tess- dadda
D- yes honey I'm your daddy
Lm- David can you sit down for a moment we have to talk

I sit with my kids on my lap and look at her mom
Lm- we haven't told Liza we are today when we see her
D- what's up is everything alright
Lm- David I have cancer I only have 3 months to live

I started to tear up. Liza's mom has become my mom
I give Tess and Mitchell to her dad and give her mom a huge hug.
D- how about you both come over for dinner tonight and I'll help you tell Liza
Lm- it's going to break her heart. Promise me you will take good care of her
D- I always have and I always will.
Lm- I'm glad I got to meet my grand baby's before I'm gone
D- come over around 6 tonight okay? And thank you so much for watching Tess and Mitchell I appreciate it so much

I got in my car and Tess said dadda a lot all the way home. Then Mitchell started crying. I put my car on auto pilot and soothed him in the back. I couldn't stop thinking cancer? I've already broken Liza's Heart and we just got alright after that. Now this? How am I going to help her? My phone started ringing in the car I press the talk button on my car to answer
D- hey babe
L- where are you I can barley hear you
D- give me one second
He stops crying and I turn forward in my seat
L- David
D- babe I'm almost home I went to pick up the kids

L- I would be if you bring me some chocolate
D- alright I'll go to the store
L- I got my period this morning
D- okay well kids are in the car I'll be home soon

I hung up my phone and ran into the store and got Liza's chocolates. I pulled in the drive way and she came running out.

I opened the door and she grabbed Tess and Mitchell

She looked at me in shock
D- oh yeah babe I forgot to tell you I'm her favourite parent

I pass her the chocolate and she gives me a big kiss.
D- your parents are coming for dinner at 6 tonight okay

She was in a good mood I felt bad that it's going to be wrecked very soon.

It was 6 o clock and I was dreading this. My palms where sweaty and my jaw and back hurt. That only happens when I get like this. From the accident. I shake it off and open the door. They came in and sat down on the couch. As we are all eating she speaks up

My hands where shaking so I sat on them

She listens and I put my arm around her and move closer

I run upstairs and pull on the handle but the door was locked. She wants to be alone
I went back downstairs and gave her mom and dad a hug and they went home.
