Ari POV

After Brian left to... Wherever he went to since he didn't have a class, I walked into Marketing. I did a quick scan & saw Brittany sitting in the back, looking at something on her phone. I take the empty seat next to her. "Hey there" I said, sitting down. Whatever she was looking at really had her attention because she didn't even know I was there. "Britt?" I whispered, tapping her shoulder twice. "Huh?" she said, slowly turning her head toward me. When she saw my face, she jumped. "JeSUS! Girl. Almost pissed my pants. What's up?" she said, releasing the grip she had on the collar of her sweater. "Maybe I should be asking you. You seem pretty into your phone. What's going on in your world?" I replied, taking out my notebook. "Nothing, just texting someone" she said, a huge grin developing on her face. I know that look. "Who is he? Tell. Me. Now." I replied, playfully smacking her arm. She chuckled "who said it was a he?" she asked, looking back at her phone. "First of all, you keep looking at your phone like you're waiting for it to give you something. Second, you've been smiling like a goof ever since I asked. Third, you never said it wasn't a guy & a bonus, I know that face" I replied. "Okay, you got me. Geez. Nobody asked for all of that" she said, looking at me. "Sooo... Who is the fellow I'm about to be interroga-I mean, interview?" I smiled at her as she looked as if my hair just fell out my head. "Ari? Don't you dare." she said, a bit stern. "Don't fret my pet. Who is he?" I asked again. "Okay, you remember when we went to breakfast & that guy said 'hi' to me before I invited him & his friends to sit with us?" she asked. "Without talking to me first? Yeah. Go on" I replied laughing. She chuckled a bit "Sorry. But yeah him. Adam. We've been talking lately & he's such a sweet & funny guy" she said. "And?" I asked. I knew there was more. "Well... He asked me to the homecoming dance next month" she replied, a full blown smile on her face. I couldn't believe it "Holy crap on cracker Britt! Didn't we like... Just get here?" I laughed as I hugged her tight. "I know! It's crazy, right?" she said, hugging me back. "Its awesome, that's what it is! I'm so happy for you. You better get it girl" I replied. As we pulled apart, Brittany started shaking her head "No, no. No one is getting anything from anyone." "Yet" I replied, doubling over in laughter. Britt gasped as she playfully pushed me, which only made me laugh harder. This was going to be a fun class.

Brian POV

I hate math with a passion! I'm bored as hell. The teacher assigned us work in the book that involved letters & numbers. Who ever decided math should have letters is right where they need to be: six feet under. I decide to take a break from my homework & text Riley.

I was trying to do some homework but I'll do that mess later. Wanna get some food after class?

I went back on my journey of boredom until I got a text from a random number.

That was gross I thought to myself. I needed a shower. Hey you did it my mind called back. As weird as it was knowing I just had a conversation with myself, it was true. But, the whole time, I imagined I was with Ari. That was the only thing that made it not gross. I stepped into the shower & my mind started racing. What was it about this girl? I didn't get it. She humiliates me in front of everyone & all of the sudden, I'm whipped? I shook my head of the thoughts. Nope. That's not me. Can't be... Can it? I stepped out the shower feeling a whole lot better. I don't know what it is but nothing is better than a good shower. It's like you washed off the past & you have a new start. I was putting on my shoes when my phone went off "and she gon shake it; like a rednose; like a, like a, like a rednose" Don't judge me. Sage The Gemini is a boss. I saw a missed call from Seth & two texts from Adam & Riley. I decided to text Adam & Ri first since it wouldn't take long.

Riley: Class just let out. I invited your love & her friend. Hope that's cool. Be there soon
