Melvin's POV

"What are you doing here?" I asked Mr. Barnes. He & I used to be friends or, at least, I had thought. But now, now I hate him. The very reason why I have permanent markings all over my body. "How ya doing there Melvin?" he asked sheepishly. "Don't try to create conversation with me like we're like that. Those chances are long gone" I replied. "What are you going to do to us? By 'us', I mostly mean 'me' really." the girl asked me. I notice she's quite a pretty thing. "Oh so just forget me, huh?" Brian asked. She turned to answer him, "Yes." she stated simply. He gave her a very small smile. I saw a flash in his eyes. I knew it. I had that same flash once. He liked her a lot, perhaps even love. It took everything in me not to smile on the outside. I had a plan, a brilliantly brilliant plan. "Well, you'll have to go to the administrative office, maybe talk to the Dean, depending on what they say. I'll have to fill out a report & oh yes. We'll have to call your parents" I explained. "Oh well, that's just TERRIFIC!" Brian said, throwing his arms up. "Please, you can't tell my parents. You'd be calling my death" the girl grabbed onto the skin of my forearm. Her hands were soft, almost like she hadn't been touching it at all. I could get used to this. "Well maybe we don't have to tell your parents" I replied, winking at her for effect. Clearly, the other one in the room took note of this because he said "Uh? If I have to tell my deranged mother, she has to tell her murderous father. By the way, don't wink at her" Oh, I'll wink all day if I need to. "Shut up! He can do what he wants! Thank you... What was your name again?" she asked me. I had almost forgotten for a moment. No girl has ever put Brian in his place, but it definitely would've been for me. Maybe she'll become more than just a revenge piece. "My names Melvin. What might your name be, pretty lady?" I needed to turn on all the charm, or at least the little that I had. Surprisingly, it had worked because I had her smiling & caught ol boy's blood boiling. Karma's a bitch! I thought to myself. "My name's Ari, Melvin" she said with the perfect smile. "Yuck! Are y'all finished now? I'd like to get this over with before I throw up" Brian said. You mad bro? "Come malady" I said, offering my arm as I opened the door. She lightly touched her chest with her hand. "Such a gentleman. See there Brian?" she asked. I couldn't help but smile. "Yeah yeah I saw" he said, following us out. Oh yeah, bro's mad.

Brian's POV

What the hell did he think he was doing?! He knows EXACTLY what he's doing & he's about to get hurt. I know the guy hates me but this was a bit too far. Ari... Ari, of all people. I like her and the loon freaking KNOWS IT! That's fine. You like games, Melvin? Let's play. Though I couldn't quite get over that she hasn't realized what he's doing. Like, isn't it instinct for girls to pick up when someone's acting 'fake' towards them? I mean, they complain about that shit all the time. Why wasn't Ari picking up on this? Was this revenge on me? I thought. Damnet! When I get my hands on that Nicole, I'm going to wring her dry.

After everything was said & done (and I had bitched, yes that's right bitched, how Ari had to tell her parents too... Though I lost because she didn't) Melvin was in the hallway, whispering in Ari's EAR. Oh HELL NO! I thought to myself. I swung that office door open so fast, I thought my arm was going to go with it. "Woah... What's uh-whats going on here?" I asked. "Great news!" the cretin started, "I asked this beautiful woman to the Homecoming Ball!" He-WHAT?! "And I said yes!" Ari chimed in. I felt like my eyes were going to explode. That's how badly I wanted to cry. But not in front of her & definitely not in front of that bastard. No. I had to be strong. I was going to get him back for this. There would & will be HELL to pay for this. "Oh. Well... Thats... Wonderful" I replied through gritted teeth. Oh yes. Major hell to pay.
