Brittany POV

"So Brian & Ari are beefing seriously, but.. Not?" I ask Adam. He's confusing me. He told me that Brian likes Ari but also doesn't like her, which is only a defense mechanism to hide the fact that he likes her. Does he like her or not?! I know that Ari likes Brian, though she hasn't verbally expressed it. I'm not telling Adam though. Just because he broke code, doesn't mean I have to. "If I could explain their relationship, I would. But I can't. I don't think anyone can really" he replies. Adam & I have been just talking for a long time. He's a really easy person to get along with but sometimes, I wish he would just take some initiative with the physical stuff. Don't get me wrong, I'm not some slut or anything like that. It's just... I have needs too, you know? I mean, we like each other, he said he wants to, I'm right here.. What's the problem? The talking is awesome & I'm glad he wants to talk to me instead of walking into the room saying "hey girl. drop your pants" but... I'm in it now. As if he was reading my mind, Adam gets really close my ear & starts kissing behind it. What? "Um.. Adam? If you aren't um.. about it, you better stop" I say, flustered. He's set off the timer & he's got about 10 seconds before it's ALL over. "No. I'm about it. In all honesty, I'm tired of the talking. It's nice though" he said, kissing lower on my neck. 3 seconds. "I got tired of talking an hour ago! I just kept it up because I thought you wanted to" I've never been so happy to hear a boy say he's sick of talking to me in my life! Adam chuckles "I was keeping it up because I thought that's what you wanted. I just want to do you" he jerks back. Well then sir. "I'm sorry. That didn't sound good. I actually genuinely care about what you have to say. I just-" "No. You're fine. Let's do this" I say, adjusting myself on the bed. It's lift off time & I've never been more excited. Just as our lips were about to connect, the door swings open. "Britt, I need to talk to you. You?!" she says as she points to Adam "You can get the fuck out!" This bitch just ruined everything! Don't get me wrong, I love Ari. She's the greatest. But, damn is her timing terrible. "Are you mad at me?" Adam asks her. There were hints of liters of venom in her tone. "I said get out!" she replies. I guess that answered the question. Adam turns to me as I shrug. "I think you should go. She's seems pretty upset" I say as we both get off the bed. I walk him to the door. He walks out but just before he leaves, he says "call me" & kisses me on the lips. It was so hot. I want to cry because that was all I was getting. I sigh heavily before closing the door & locking it. "Damnet Ari! If you don't have a good reason for body blocking me, I'm cussing you out" I say sternly. She looks at me before bursting into tears. I know I don't look my best right now but good lord. "Oh. What's wrong pumpkin?" I ask, leading her to her bed to sit. "Brian.. Is SUCH... an ASS" she gasps out. Given. "What happened?" I ask. After she explained the situation as well as the outcome, I become even more livid with those boys. Brian mostly but I am highly pissed & disappointed with Adam. The fact that he knew & said nothing. I want to go hit him in the face. "We can poison them later, if you want. I know a few guys in the Chem Lab that could pour something in their water & they would never know" I say in an attempt to make her feel better. A bit too much? Maybe. But it helps me when I hear stuff like that. "What?" Ari asks. I guess it's not for everyone. "Nothing. You're tired. You should get some sleep & think everything over in the morning, when you have a fresh head" I advise. "Yeah, you're right. Thanks Britt, I love you" she says, getting under her covers. She said she loves me. She doesn't love people. She told me that. I feel so special. "I love you too pumpkin pie. Good nighting" I say. "Good nighting" she replies. Oh yeah, very special.

Brian POV

"Are you telling me that Seth, OUR Seth, has been kidnapped? He's a teddy bear that plays sports. What could he have possibly done to get kidnapped?" I ask. This is too much. I seriously can't think right now. "If you think we knew, would we be trying to find out?" Adam snaps back. What's eating him? "Damn A. What's up your ass?" I ask. Adam sighed heavily "I'm sorry dude. It's just that... I was this close to finally getting intimate with Brittany," he said demonstrating with his fingers "but then Ari came in, pissed as hell with you, & kicked me out." Ouch. He was seriously walled up on. My bad homes. "Um. Excuse me? Who the hell cares if you were cock blocked" Riley says to Adam "or if he was the cock blocker" he gestures his hand towards me. "Our best friend's life is a stake and I for one am going to get a team together to help find him. You guys can do whatever you want in here" he says before opening the door & then slamming it shut. Adam followed after him, leaving me by myself. Thoughts of last night (Ari) start to enter into my head. "Oh hell no" I say before jumping out of the bed. Not this time.

Ari POV

As I enter the room after a long needed shower, I hear the loud footsteps of several people. Do people still run in the halls like they have no sense? Just as I am closing the door, a hand stops it. Who the hell? I open it wider to see Riley, Adam, and Brian standing at my doorway, completely out of breath. Oh great. The last people I wanted to see. "Ari?" Brian says. "Didn't I say never talk to me again?" I ask. Nothing he could say would ever make me talk to him. "Please? We need your help. Seth has been kidnapped" he replies. Well, that possibly could. "Kidnapped? Really Brian? I swear that has got to be the biggest fail of a-" "It's true" Riley chimes in. I take a look around at all of the boys and they all look serious. Scared and serious. "Oh my God. When did this-? How did this-?What do I need to do?" I ask. I'm at a loss for words. "Brittany told me you know people" Adam replies. I do know quite a few people from my Dad. It won't be easy to get them though.  "What kind of people do you need?" I ask. "What kind of people do you know?" Riley asks. "More than you'll imagine" I reply. I just seem to continue to be roped into these crazy situations. Life right now.

"I called my Dad. I may have gotten a few people on board but we have to leave right now if we want to make it before they leave" I say, packing my bag. "I meant to ask before, where does your Dad work?" Riley asks me, stuffing his face with my crackers. Always eating, even in times of crisis. "I can't tell you that. I'd have to kill you and then my Dad would have to kill me." I say. I look to see Riley's face. Pre-chewed cracker mush is falling out of his mouth. Yeah, it's an attractive sight. "Your dad work for the FBI or the CIA or something?" Adam asks. "Sure, if you want to think that" I reply. I notice Brian has yet to say anything to me since he showed up. Good. He better keep his lying ass quiet.

Brian POV

As we sit in the car, I'm one empty seat over from Ari. She's so beautiful. I just want to say something to her, ANYTHING. But, she told me never to talk to her again and I heard what she said to Riley, I don't want to take any chances. I mean, we are soon going to be in a building filled with people that could have me dead in a flash. I can't blame her for hating me though. I told her I'd stop lying to her, just to turned right back around and lied again. In my defense though, the last time was accidental. She wasn't supposed to know about Cassie. I just want to call that whole thing off and start again. Do it right, you know? But then again, she brought this on herself. Stubborn dumbass. No. I must stay strong. If she wants to be with that snake in suspenders Melvin, she'll just have to deal with the venom when she gets bit.
