Ari POV

"Don't be like this Ari!" Brittany called outside the bathroom door. "I'm not coming out! I look like crap & I refuse to be seen looking like CRAP by the public!" I answered. Yes, I have locked myself in. You may be thinking its just food, not a date. But when you're around guys, you have to look top notch as much as possible. They're dumb, but they notice that kind of stuff fairly quick. And right now, I'm not looking okay. Somehow, my whole head got wet in the shower. So now, I've got this kinky curl thing going. That. Will not. Fly. "Just let me see. I promise, if it looks as bad as you're making it seem, we'll bail on the whole thing" Brittany suggested. Well, now I feel bad. "No, don't do that! Just go without me. I'll be alright here... Alone." Okay, I didn't even believe that when I said it BUT, it will have to do. "Damnet Ari! Just show me!" Britt semi-yelled. Woah! What did my ears just pick up? I swung open the door. "You don't curse." I said in an almost inaudible voice. I was so shocked. I never would've guessed it. "Are you serious Ari? It's not even bad. Cute really. Just comb it through with mousse, a little oil & let's go!" she said as she turned to walk away. I scoffed a little "What do you know about black people hair?" I asked, getting ready to mix the oil & mousse in my hands. "Tons. Considering I am black" she replied, simplistically. I, on the other hand, went into a coughing rage & dropped whatever I had in my hand. Regaining control of myself, "But you're... Wait, how.... What?". Brilliance. That's what that reply was. Britt looked at me like I grew a second nose. "I'm an Albino, that's why I look so pale" she said, putting on her shoes. As I finished combing my hair through, I thought about this newfound information. An Albino huh? I've never really seen one in person. Just heard about them. "Wow. Can't believe it" I replied, checking myself in the mirror one last time. "Good," she said, prepping her phone for a selfie "It wasn't true anyway" she laughed a little as she took her photo. "Are you-? Damn you, Britt!" I gave a few chuckles, knowing 'props' were due. She got me good, I will give her that. We gave each other the thumbs up on looks, took a couple of photos, & walked out the door.

Brian POV

"What takes girls so long?! We've been here like... An hour" Riley complained, fidgeting in his chair. "This is what you get. Karma." I replied, shoving him off my arm. "Riley, its been 10 mins. Cool out. Brian, what do you mean?" Adam asked as he messed with a random paper clip. "Don't worry about it. We text about it after we talked grub" I said, glaring over at Ri. "No one thought to text me though" Seth mumbled. "Hey." I said to him. He just crossed his arms over his chest & looked down. What was wrong with him? He's very sensitive today. He wasn't even this upset when we went to the amusement park & called to invite him as we were there. Though in my defense, I thought Riley text everyone. "Oh!" Adam exclaimed, scaring us a bit, even Seth. "Did I tell y'all what happened today?" Seth looked up at Adam, then looked back down as if nothing was said. Riley & I looked at each other. Adam sighed "I guess I didn't. Do you remember Brittany?" No answer. "Well, we've been talking a bit & she's real cool. Anyway, I asked her to the Midnight Madness Homecoming dance next month." Adam replied. "Hey man. That's awesome dude" Seth said in a very low voice. He looked like he really wanted it to be true but it wasn't. I'm going to ask him about that later on. As the door opened, Adam flew around in his seat like his face was on fire. "Hey Brittany" he said, loudly. She waved at him & reached her hand back to... Something. I'm not exactly sure, nothing was back there. "Oh geez," she said, walking back out the door. "Ari? Come on!" she continued as the door closed behind her. Outside, you could see Brittany struggling with a tall, dark shadow, who I'm assuming was Ari. She didn't look like she wanted to come in & she had a massive hoodie on. I wonder why.

Ari POV

"NOPE. I'm not... Comfortable anymore" I said, trying to break free of Britt's grip. She was not loosening up though. "Ari? Ari, we're... Right here... Just... Walk through... The door" she replied. "What kind of friend are you? I don't want to anymore. And mind you, this could be considered assault" I said. She had been trying to push me in. I had my hands gripped to the sides of the threshold. Then, she just let me go. "Fine. You don't have to stay. I don't want you to do something you don't want to." she said, walking towards the front door. "Thank you" I stated simply, walking back to the dorm. Next thing I know, I'm picked up with hands around my abdomen, carried towards the café with Britt saying "Nuh uh. You're going in here with me". A strong little one, she is.
