Ivory's POV

I stood there in shock of this guy. This amazingly hot guy who is the leader of the music club and is deaf. My mom taught me a little of sign language since she said I'd probably need it in life, because there was at least one deaf person that I would meet in my life. I don't really remember much of what my mother told me, but I was willing to take it back up again. I tried my best to remember the words I learned and signed.

"You read lips?" He smiled and shook his head. I looked around slightly confused and I had so many question for this guy. He walked up to me getting my attention back to reality.

'Go ahead, ask you're questions and I'll try my best to answer them.' I nodded and motioned for him to follow me out the classroom and walk around. I decided to sign to him as I talked in case he could read my lips or I was signing something wrong.

"How long have you been here? At school I mean?" I asked first because even thought it's my first year I'd like to think I know most of the people who aren't freshman.

'I am a third year student.'

"How come I haven't seen you before? I would have thought I would noticed a guy like you." He laughed quietly, but I could still hear it. It was low pitched, but soft and soothing at the same time.

'What is that supposed to mean?' I looked at him and shook my head.

"I didn't mean it in a bad way or anything. I just mean.... you're noticeable and cute." He face turned a slight pinkish color and he smirked.

'Thanks. No one has referred me as cute before.' He signed and I wouldn't ever think why this guy had the cool outfit and blue eyes, blue eyes are always considered cute.

"You're the leader for the music club leader, but your deaf." He reached into his bag and pulled out headphones.

'I use these to feel the sound waves of the music. It lets me know the rhythm, melody, and words.' I nodded seeming to understand what he was getting at. 'The music room is also properly muffled, the sound bounces off the walls perfectly' we continued walking and people had stared at us on more than one occasion and whispered something, but I wasn't sure what.

"Why are people staring at us?" He sighed and looked down for a second before signing.

'More so me than you. I'm too.... not normal for people to handle. You because you're talking to me in a way no one else can'. There was a bit of silence before he tapped me to get my attention. 'Why are you talking to me? Not that's its bad.'

"You are abnormal and being normal is highly overrated. Plus I uh..... want to join your club." He stopped walking and looked at me surprised. He started to frantically sign words that I didn't understand. I touched his shoulder and signed back slowly. "Calm down, I can't understand when you are signing that fast like you're in Naruto." He smiled at my comment and calmed down.

'You wouldn't want to join this club. I'm the only one here and I'm deaf. People will talk about you and not in a good way.' He signed looking worried.

"I must be pretty interesting if they start talking about me." I signed smiling. He gave relaxed a bit and and into a small smile.

"Hey, Ivy!" I heard turning around to see Jamie running toward me. He looked at me frantically.

"Whoa whoa, what's wrong, Jamie?" I asked worried.
