Ivory's POV
I sat in the truck with my brother and the twins looking out the window. The boys were arguing about something stupid.
"Ivory." I heard seeing the boys looking back at me which made me feel extremely uncomfortable.
"What?" I asked genuinely curious.
"I heard you started talking to Damion Mason." Blake said looking at me through the rear view mirror. I looked out the window again avoiding eye contact.
"Yeah so?" I said as Carter sat up looking at me like I was insane.
"Are you fucking serious, Ivy? That guy is a douchebag and an asshole." He argued and I shrugged my shoulders.
"You can't judge a book by its cover, guys. He apologized and explained what was going on in his life. The fight, he said you started it, Carter." I explained and he rolled his eyes.
"Oh come on, he was talking about you like you were some piece of fucking meat when I did it. I admit it, I lost my cool, but he shouldn't have been talking about you like that." Jamie looked back at me with a concerned.
"Are you alright, Ivy?" Jamie asked and I looked up.
"Yes I'm fine, don't worry." They looked at me with concern on their faces, but thankfully they let it go. When we got to school everything seemed... different. Everything seemed black and white. Everyone was black and white and I looked around seeing the same thing. It was just even more depressing. Then I noticed something. There was color on the other side of the hall and near that color was him. I looked in his direction to see if he had noticed me, but he didn't.
I stood here staring probably like a weirdo, but I couldn't help it. There was the warmth in the cold winter. The one rose in a field of
flowers that all looked the same. It was him.... I drifted toward him hoping I'd get to talk to him and hoping I'd could get a word out on him. Suddenly someone stood in front of me releasing me from the spell his had cast on me. It was Damion."Good morning, Ivory." He said smiling and I blinked a few times coming back to earth. I looked over his shoulder seeing he was gone.
"Good morning, Damion." I said to him trying to not sound too disappointed.
"I've decided that I'm gonna take you to this cool restaurant downtown. It's called cherry blossom. It's a Japanese restaurant of course, but I hope you like it." He said sounded pretty excited, so I smiled back.
"I'm sure it'll be fun." I said trying to match his excitement.
"Come on I want to show you something." He said grabbing my hand and leading me somewhere down the hall. We turned the corner and out of the corner of my eyes I noticed something. I looked in that direction and I saw Eli standing by his locker seeming to be talking to some girl. She looked at him flirty and interested in him.
Something inside me started to hurt a little. Damion continued to pull me behind him and toward his locker. He opened it and revealed a bunch of roses. I looked at them surprised and shocked. No one has ever bought me roses before. He took them out of the locker and handed them to me.
"Damion, I..."
"Don't worry your pretty little head about it. I got them this morning because they were almost as beautiful as you." My face started to heat up a little bit and I smiled at him.
