Elijah's POV

It's been a pretty rough month so far and I hope all this practicing for the show will be worth it. I've never practiced so much in my life and I made sure no one heard me. Ivy has been the light in my pit of darkness. She's always there to talk to me and make me feel better. I've been trying to keep up with my school work, while working a part time job at my Aunt's small diner near my house. I've been working there for about three years because I needed the money.

I've been saving up and going to my regular appointments once a month. Ivory tends to check on me every time she 'feels' something is wrong with me. I couldn't fully understand how she could tell if something was wrong when I hadn't evened signed anything. I don't really have much time to myself or with Ivy outside of school and work. Even so she'd make time from the most random times. Like when she showed up at my door at 8:30 at night saying we were going on an adventure.

I didn't bother pushing her to tell me where we were going because I knew she only wanted the best. Ivy was the most badass sweat-heart I'd ever met and lived up to her nickname fully. That night she took me to the beach was damn near perfect. I didn't know why she took me there anyway, but I had a lot of fun with her there. The welcome show was in a few days and I think the closer it got the more anxious I was to just get it over.

I had really hoped I'd get this before the show. I was afraid yet, excited. I was terrified when Ivy first mentioned the idea, but the closer it got the more comfortable I got knowing that Ivy was gonna be right there with me on the stage. I just hoped all this practice wouldn't make me look like a complete idiot on the stage. I was suddenly tapped hard on the shoulder getting me out of my trance.

"Elijah! Pay attention you're gonna burn the food!" My aunt signed to me as quickly went back to cooking the food people ordered.

'I'm so sorry.' She smiled a little and signed.

"It's okay. Just pay attention more. Stay out of day dream land, kit." I continued cooking for a few hours until my break came. "Time to break, kit." I nodded and signed 'Thank you.' I took my apron off and headed outside. I pulled out my phone to see I gotta a message from Ivy.

Poison Ivy: Hey, Elly. How are you doing this morning.

Me: lol I'm okay. I'm a little tired. This month as been a hard one.

Poison Ivy: Well I can help with that.

Me: Ella thanks, but you don't have to do that.

Poison Ivy: I care about you so I do.

Me: It's just slowly coming up on the show.

Poison Ivy: It'll be fine, Elly. We'll do great I know it.

Me: Thanks.

Poison Ivy: I love you, Elly.

Me: I love you too, Ella.

I looked at my watching as my break seemed to be over. I sighed and got up. I looked up at the sky as the wind blew my hair a little. The sky was dark and it was warm. The clouds moved every second as if they where going somewhere. Time for the rest of what I would consider a long day. Four hours and 100 dishes later it was finally time for me to go. I was so exhausted.
