Elijah's POV
Today was the day I dreaded at first and..... I still am. I said I was fine the closer it got, but as today rolled on the nerves came crashing right back to me like a train. I woke up in my new room at my Aunts house feeling like a huge weight has been lifted off of me. I was no longer living with my parents, but I got a little worried about Aiden. They never treated him bad, but what would happen when I left. I reached for my phone and texted him.
Me: Hey, morning. Are you okay?
He answered back within a few minutes.
AID: Yeah, why wouldn't I be?
Me: Well, mom and dad.
AID: Ah, I see. You're worried that just because you left they'd turn there attention on me.
Me: Well, yeah.
AID: Heh, don't worry bout me. No offense, but I'm not like you. I'd tell them off in a heart beat if they'd ever even think of talking to me any way they wanted. Idgaf if they are my parents.
I guess Aiden's 'fuck-you' attitude pays off sometimes. I never had to worry about him. I knew he was gonna be alright, I just needed some clarification.
AID: You just worry about yourself and your girl. You have a big day today. I have faith you'll be just fine. I believe in you, little brother.
Me: Heh, you're not a half bad brother, Aiden.
AID: I'll take that as a compliment. See you at the show, bro.
I smiled to myself and got up heading into the shower. When I got out I put on my uniform grabbing my bag. I reached in my drawer getting the little black bag putting it in my bag. I had been saving up for this and I hoped it worked. I headed down the stairs and toward the front door as I sat down on the floor putting my shoes on. I felt a tap on my shoulder scaring me a little bit. I looked up seeing Aunt Lisa smiling sheepishly.
"I'm sorry, I didn't mean to scare you, hun." I waved it off tying my shoes. I stood up meeting her eyes.
'It's alright, Alisa. Did you want something?' I asked and she shook her head.
"Not really. I just wanted to see you this morning. That girl, Ivory. She's such a sweetheart. So nice and a pretty one too." I smiled a little.
'Yeah, Ivy's pretty great. Keeps me in my place sometimes to. She's got a sweet heart and a poison attitude.' She laughed and touched my shoulder.
"Those are the best ones, hun. Just make sure you keep this one. You don't come around women like her very often, but when you do it's best to keep her as close as possible." I nodded agreeing.
'Don't worry, Alisa. I don't plan to lose Ivy any time soon.'
"Have fun at school." She said waving.
'Oh there's a welcoming show today, parents are invited so if you would like to come feel free.' I signed and walked out the door. I started walking to school like I did every day. Compared to my parents house, this house was a longer walk, but I didn't mind it. I looked up at the sky seeing it a light baby blue with a few clouds in bunches scattered around. The wind was blowing a cool breeze making it a little colder. There was a lot of trees around my path, but just as much houses and buildings. Cars pass, some slow some fast as if they were late. I was at school in no time as there seemed to be fewer students walking in the building. I walked in and looked around to see if I saw the twins, Carter, or Ivy. I found the twins walking down the hall. I quickly walked up to them and tapped one of them on the shoulder. He turned around letting me know it was Jamison. He smiled and waved.
