Elijah's POV

I just got a text from Ivy telling me to open the door. I was completely confused as to why she was at my door at 10 at night. I opened the door only to see my worse nightmare. Ivy was standing at my door her head bleeding and blood dripping from her side. She was breathing heavy and she wasn't wearing a shirt. She was wearing a large jacket covering herself. I looked at her face as it looked completely worn out and dry tears on her cheeks.

She was about to come in, but she fell to her knees as I caught her. She closed her eyes and her breathing was slow. I was panicking inside, but there was no time for that. I carried her to my room and laid her on my bed. I quickly went into the bathroom getting the first aid kit and hurrying back to my room. At this time I had thanked whatever god that my parents where at some big anniversary trip and Aiden was at some girls house for the night.

I took the jacket off her and disinfected her cuts and bandaged them up pretty good. I looked at her as my heart was breaking apart. I had no idea what the hell happened to her, but she'd been through so much. I put one of my shirts over her to cover her up. I pulled the covers over and let her rest as I took the jacket and went into the living room to sit down. I started to feel vibration coming from the jacket she was wearing. I looked through the jacket pulling out her phone.

I looked at the phone seeing the caller I.D said 'Mère.' I slid the reject icon until it said 'reject with message' I typed in the messager.

Me: Ivory's mother, I'm sorry about hanging up on you. I'm Eli, Ivory's classmate and apart of the Music Club with her. I'm deaf, which is why I can't communicate with you through the phone and I wanted to let you know she's been in an accident and she came to my house. I tended to her injuries and she's resting right now. My address is 207 Haven Rd. If you want to come check on her.

Mère: WHAT HAPPENED TO MY DAUGHTER?!

Me: I'm not entirely sure, ma'am. She just came to my house looking kind of bad. She should be alright right now, but I'm waiting until she wakes up to find out what exactly happened.

Mère: How do I know you're not lying to me?

She was smart and I knew that. Ivy had talked about her mother probably once and mentioned she worked for FBI or something.

Me: Ma'am, I understand your concern which is why I gave you my address. You can come check on Ivory right now if you want. I have no proof that you should believe me other than what I told you already.

Mère: ..... fine. I am coming right now. I'll be there in five minutes.

Me: Alright.

I sat in the living and waited. If Ivory was anything like her mother than her mother would definitely be here that fast. A few minutes later I heard a rapid knock on my door. I got up to answer it and saw a woman about the same height as Ivy with shoulder length dark brown hair and dark brown eyes. She looked like an older version of Ivy. So of course I assume this to be her mother.

"Where's Ivy?" She signed moving her lips as well. I pointed to the room only a few feet away from us as she made her way there. She opened the door as I followed her. When she laid her eyes on Ivy still sleeping in bed with the bandages on her head I could see she nearly broke. She slowly walked in more and toward her daughter. She touched her face lightly being careful not to wake her. She got on her knees by Ivy's side and just looked at her. She looked like she was about to cry. She lifted her hands and signed. "What happened?"
