Elijah's POV
I stood at the door waiting for Ivy to finished getting ready for school. Nat dropped by early this morning and dropped off her uniform for school. They hugged and Nat did her usual I need to watch our backs just in case. She came walking out of my room in her uniform. She was wearing a red plaid skirt that stopped a little above her knees with a white short sleeve button down shirt. Over top of that was a black British style jacket with white lining with her black boots and long black socks.
'You ready?' I signed and she nodded as we left the house. My house wasn't that far from school which was why I always walked. It was nice to actually have someone walking with me. 'Are you feeling alright, Ivy?' I asked and she nodded her head smiling.
"Yeah I'm okay." I raised my eyebrow as I watched her walk. She smiled, but she looked as if she was hurting.
'I know you have pride to protect, but you don't have to around me.' I signed as her smile faded a little and she looked down not making eye contact.
"Sorry." I stopped walking and signed.
'You don't have to walk. Come on, I'll carry you.' She shook her head and waved her hands no.
"No, I'm fine. You don't have to do that." I raised my eyebrow at her
'Just get on my back, Ivy.' I took her school bag and bent down so she could get on my back. I stood back up lifting her with me. She wrapped her arms around my neck. I kept walking toward school with her on my back. She wasn't heavy at all to me. She signed with her hands in front of me.
"I hate you sometimes." I smiled and laughed once continuing walking to school. She rested her head on my shoulder as I could feel her breathing slow down. As her breathing slowed down I questioned if she had enough sleep last night. I looked ahead of me with a sad expression at to how she is so much pain right now. She must have been up all night in pain. When we got to the front of the school I carefully put her back on feet. Her face crunched up in pain and I looked at her in concern.
'Will you be okay, today?' I asked her. 'I can take more time out of my schedule to help you to your classes.' I signed and She shook shook her head.
"You don't have to do that. I have meds in my bag that I can take." I looked at her confusion.
'Why do you have meds in your bag?' She looked at me like I was stupid.
"Because I am a female. Who bleeds through her vagina every month for a week and along with that it comes with cramps, which is pain." He said and I could tell by the look on her face she said it with the harshest amount of sarcasm. I raised my hands in defense not wanting feel her wrath of Ivy in pain.
'I'm sorry, you really are Poison Ivy.' She looked at me like she wanted to hit me with something and I laughed once. 'That's the thanks I get for carrying you all the way here and letting you sleep on me?' Her eyes softened as she instantly felt bad.
"I'm sorry." She signed and I waved it off.
'It's fine. Come on let's go in." We walked in together just as everyone else was too. Her attention turned to her right just as Blake, Carter, and Jamison came running toward her.
"Ivy, I'm so glad you're okay. We heard what happened." Jamison said hugging her carefully.
"You're still hurting me." She said as he let go of her. They all smiled and they each hugged her. They all turned their attention quickly as I met their eyes seeing a couple of cops waking in the school. They walked pass us and down the hall. They met up with the football team. We walked closer to the scene.
