Chapter 4 - The Dolan Family

* Olivia's POV - before camping *

I smiled, watching the TV and feeling my eyes water at the scene. I instantly felt Ethan's warm and muscular arm wrap around me, pulling me towards his chest. Damn. This guy is still as muscular and handsome since the day I met him ;)
" Why are you crying? " He giggled, kissing my forehead.
" it's sad! " I groaned.
He laughed at me, the lights soon flicking on as the door swung open. Jack is home, finally.
He came stumbling through the room, not even bothering to close the door behind him.
" what have you been drinking, Jack? " Ethan sighed, sitting him down on the sofa.
" What? Nooooo " Jack slurred, and I tried my best not to laugh.
I shouldn't be laughing, my kid is 16 and he just came home drunk.
" Who were you with? " I asked.
" Jaydenn, oh! And Nicki " He said, looking like he was about to fall asleep any second.
" Who's Nicki? " Ethan pulled a funny face, looking really confused.
" well shit... I meant Niomi " He groaned.
Wow, he forgot his twin sisters name.
" well, I know for a fact that's a lie because Kendall texted me earlier talking about how Jayden told her about this girl or something... and your sister is in her room " I said, as he groaned in annoyance.
It was silent, as he placed his hand on his head and closed his eyes.
" Why you gotta be like this? " He asked, sounding so stupid but so funny at the same time.
" who were you really with, Jack? " Ethan asked.
" ummm... you? " He said, questioning himself as he spoke.
Ethan was trying with every inch in his body not to laugh at what Jack was saying, and luckily we didn't.
" I was at home with your mom " He said, looking at me and shaking his head.
" what? Hooking up? I don't want another sister! Nicki's enough " He slurred, slapping the couch with his fist.
I held my mouth with my hand, laughing silently. It was hilarious, and I'm sure you'd be laughing too. Not the drunk part, but what he was saying. He really needs to learn how to remember his sister's name while drinking...
" It's Niomi, and no... we were watching a movie " Ethan chuckled, and I shook my head for him to stop.
We heard footsteps making their way downstairs, and soon Niomi was stood with us in her pyjamas.
" why are you guys down here? It's like 4 " She yawned, opening her eyes widely when she saw Jack.
" oh, never mind " She said, rolling her eyes.
" he's drunk " Ethan mumbled, soon being shut up by Jack placing his hand over Ethan's mouth.
" I'm not drunk! " He said, looking as if he was about to cry.
" aw don't cry Jackie poo " Niomi giggled, placing her hand on his cheek before he pushed it away.
" don't Jackie poo me, Nicki " He yelled, making Niomi laugh until her sides hurt.
" go to bed Jack, you need some rest for tomorrow... " I advised, and he struggled to get up.
Luckily with Niomi as a great sister, she helped him up and walked him towards the stairs.
" And no more drinking Jack! I'm letting this one slide, but if it happens again I won't be " Ethan informed, as Jack nodded slowly.
" I love you Nicki " I heard Jack say, followed by a laugh from Niomi.
" I love you too Jack " She giggled, taking him upstairs to sleep.

Ethan and I exchanged looks, starting to laugh at what just happened. Are we bad parents for that? No, we're not. It was pretty funny, but I know he won't let it happen again. Hopefully, anyway. Jack is a great kid though, so is his sister. Of course they argue, but they're closer than ever and love each other to bits. I mean, they're twins!!

I returned to watching the movie, until Ethan's light snores were heard from beside me. I guess we'll sleep on the sofa tonight...
