Chapter 24 - waiting room news

Anna's POV:

As soon as we arrived at the hospital we rushed out towards the entry, shaking nervously. We pushed open the doors, instantly seeing all of the kids waiting, some in tears with their faces buried into their hands.
" guys, where is she? " I asked, desperate to know where my daughter was and how she was doing.
" they took her into room 123 or something... I'm not sure " Katie cried, wiping her wet and puffy cheeks from crying.
" how did this happen? " Grayson asked.
" that Louise girl who bullied Darcie punched her when she told them to leave her alone! " Jake yelled, obviously frustrated and angry.
" that bitch " I muttered, clenching my jaw and shaking my head.
" please tell me you didn't fight back " I sighed, as everyone looked towards Naomi.
She looked down at the ground, sinking down into her seat even more.
" Naomi... what did you do? " I asked, and she looked up.
" hit her " She muttered, and I nodded.
" how badly? " Grayson asked.
" she... I don't know she was on the floor and people were helping her up... but she deserved it " Naomi announced, and I sighed.
First of all, Naomi will get suspended, and then Darcie is in hospital because of this Louise girl... this is horrible.
" she'll be okay, Anna... she just passed " Dylan reassured me, and I groaned.
" she just passed out?? I'm scared! " I yelled, feeling a hand on my back to comfort me.
I looked back to see Lola, and she smiled down at me slightly. I returned it, pulling her into a hug and crying into her shoulder.
" it'll be okay... trust me " Lola whispered, and I nodded my head.
Grayson sat beside me in the waiting room, his hand rubbing up and down on my leg comfortingly. I placed my head on his shoulder, cuddling into him. He's so warm, and he makes me feel a whole lot better. Alex sat beside Grayson, looking at us and smiling a little. He turned his attention back to the door, which soon burst open to reveal all of our friends.
Kendall and Cameron, Blake and Ariel, Hunter and his daughter Emily, Brandon and Ashley, Ashton, Weston and Ethan and Olivia rushed inside, all looking scared and worried.
" where is she?!? " Cameron yelled, looking at Grayson and I with hope in his eyes.
" They're going to call us into her room when they're ready " Grayson said, repeating what the nurse at the desk had said earlier.
" How did this happen?!? " Ashton asked.
" one of the bullies at her school beat her up and she fell and hit her head... " Jake said, and everyone groaned.
" she's got it coming for her " Olivia grunted, and I pointed towards Naomi.
" already taken care of " I said, as Olivia and Ethan looked towards their daughter.
" Naomi?!? What were you thinking?!? " Olivia yelled, as she threw her arms up in defence.
" you literally just said that she has it coming for her!! What's the problem if I already did it?!? " Naomi said, obviously confused at her parents.
They went silent, sighing snd sitting down beside Jack.
" this isn't how I wanted to spend my Friday night " Jack sighed, and everyone sent him a dirty look.
" Jack this is serious! " Lola yelled, slapping him on the back of the head.
" I was kidding calm down " he laughed, and I chuckled lightly.
I hadn't laughed a lot in the whole time I'd been here, in fact not once. So that lifted my mood the slightest bit.

Grayson stood up to go grab some water, so Brandon took his place. Ashley was beside him, and she gave me a warm hug to support me.
As soon as I hugged Brandon I burst into tears, him stroking my hair and comforting me in the nicest ways. Brandon is my bestfriend, and he's seen me like this the most, other than Grayson of course.
" thank you guys " I sobbed, looking at the happy couple, soon frowning when I realised that they might not be as happy as we think.
" wait... how did the doctors appointment go? " I asked, desperate to know.
They looked at one another, smiling at one another which made me grin.
" we wanted to tell you guys somewhere special, but I guess a hospital will do " Brandon laughed, taking Ashley's hand in his.
I gasped, as he laughed at me for being so shocked.
" I'm pregnant... but the doctor said to not get my hopes up, even though I'm so much further along and the baby is developing well for sure this time " Ashley announced, and everyone in the room gasped and clapped.
I jumped up, hugging them both happily.
" I'm so happy for you guys " I smiled, and they smiled back.

Waiting rooms are horrible, but being with all of these people gave me hope. So much more than I would have if I were alone. Especially how some of my friends were fully positive, acting like everything was okay and chatting with one another. It made me feel a lot happier, but I'm still terrified. I'm yet to see Darcie, since the doctor's are taking their freaking time! I'm kidding, they're doing what they have too. We even had a pregnancy announcement in the waiting room, which is crazy! Especially when it's from Brandon and Ashley who've never been able to have a kid before. I have a good feeling about it this time, and something tells me that they secretly do too.
