Chapter 17 - a first date

I rolled over, opening my eyes expecting to see Grayson. But instead I saw all of the kids, filming me. I scrunched up my nose in confusion, before a whole load of whipped cream was smacked onto my face. I should've seen that coming.
" piss off! " I yelled, standing up and rushing into the bathroom.
I heard lots of laughter coming from my bedroom, so I locked the bathroom door and cleaned myself up. Once I was done I noticed that they were still in my room, waiting. I sighed, turning around and looking towards the window. It was begin enough for me to clim through, and it was on the bottom floor which was good. I chuckled lightly to myself before opening it and climbing out, walking out through the backyard of the villa and towards the door. Once all of the kids saw me they pulled shocked faces, before starting to laugh wildly as they put the whipped cream down. Thank god.

They all rushed upstairs to get changed into their swimsuits, but Alex stayed downstairs.
" you're not going in the pool? " I asked him, raising a brow.
He shrugged, looking a lot more nervous than usual.
" I think I might ask Lola out on a date... a proper one " He said, chuckling at himself.
I gasped, my hand over my heart and smiling wider than ever.
" really?!? " I cooed, the tears brimming in my eyes at the thought.
He obviously saw the emotional wreck I was since he started laughing, rolling his eyes at how stupid I was being.
" yes... so what should I do? " He asked, and I shrugged.
" I don't know, ask Ethan " I laughed, and he pulled a confused face.
" why Uncle Ethan and not dad? " he smirked, and I giggled.
" because sometimes I wish your dad had the brain of his brother " I joked, and Alex pulled a shocked face.
" that's rude " he laughed, and I shrugged.
" well I've seen the dates Ethan planned for Olivia, and they were amazing... so ask him " I reassured him, and he nodded before walking outside to find him.
All of my friends were outside either in the pool or relaxing by it, and soon all of the kids came rushing down the stairs fully ready.

I followed them outside, watching as Jayden jumped face first onto the lilo, making everyone laugh.
" that hurt more than expected " Jayden chuckled, rolling over and landing in the water with a splash.
Everyone followed, jumping in and trying to win the luxury of being pushed around on the lilo. Apparently Jack won, as he climbed on board and lay flat on his back. All of the kids started smirking and whispering, before tipping him upside down while he struggled to surface. Once he did he yelled at them, making me laugh even harder.
They started splashing one another, and I looked over at Alex who seemed terrified. I'm guessing Ethan gave him a couple ideas, as he motioned for Lola to follow him out of the pool. She raised a brow, climbing out and following him quietly. I hope this goes well for him, I know he really likes her.

Alex's POV:

My hands began to shake as I made my way towards the living room, Lola following shortly behind. I stopped, turning around and looking into her eyes deeply... she's so gorgeous and she doesn't even see it!
" Lola, I need to ask you something " I stuttered, worrying a lot more than I probably should.
She's one of my bestfriends, and she could easily turn me down. That would make things awkward too.
She nodded, as I continued.
" I know that you know I like you... so I was wondering if you want to go on a date with me... tonight " I almost whispered, and her eyes lit up as I said the words.
She smiled, a smile from ear to ear. Just seeing that made me grin, and it made me feel a lot calmer.
" of course I would, Al! " She blushed, she's too adorable.
I smiled, opening my arms and pulling her towards my chest. She buried her face into my arms, and I smiled as she hugged back tightly.
" so tonight? " I asked, as she looked up and nodded.
" where do you want to go? " I asked her, and she shrugged.
" anywhere is great " She smiled, and I melted right then and there.
She's so perfect it's honestly unbelievable.
" how about we go to the beach on a walk tonight, and then go for food " I suggested, and she nodded happily.
There we go, we're getting somewhere. If this goes well, which I think and hope it will, I'm going to pop the big question. And no, I'm not asking her to marry me, calm down.

This has to be perfect...
