Chapter 18 - showing signs

Anna's POV again:

I laughed, running and flipping into the pool. The water felt so cold against my skin, but I loved it.
" Anna! " Dylan yelled, who was laying on the pool float while all of the kids tried to push him off.
I quickly swam over, pretending that I was going to help him , but instead I just flipped him over with everyone. As soon as he surfaced he started laughing uncontrollably, occasionally coughing from the water.

The day was going by so quick, and I didn't want it to end. All I knew was that Alex was acting extremely happy, so I'm guessing Lola said yes to the date.

It was around 6pm by now, and we were all relaxing on the outdoor sofas, simply chatting and gossiping like we used too. All of the kids were inside doing god knows what... to be honest they were probably live on younow or Instagram, since I know how much they love talking to their viewers. Just like us again.
" So, did you hear about Alex and Lola? " I asked them, and they all gave me a confused look.
I guess not.
" he asked her out on a date, and I'm pretty I sure she said yes " I smirked, as everyone awed at the cuteness.
" they remind me of you and Gray " Ethan said, and I smiled to myself.
" it was obvious that you always had something for each other, but you just didn't know it until you guys were 17 " He laughed.
" god..: I remember when you announced Granna for the first time " Hunter sighed, obviously knowing that it was so long ago, but the time has flown by...
When we announced it we were in quite a rough time I guess. We both had reunited in Florida when everyone came to visit, and we couldn't hide our feelings.
" yeah, it feels like it was yesterday that you guys were filming your engagement video " Olivia added.
I nodded, understanding exactly what they were saying. Over 16 years ago all of this happened, and we've been there throughout it all. Crazy, sad, amazing and hilarious stuff has happened, we've had it all. But I wouldn't change it for the world. They are my world.
" Brandon how's things with Ashley? " I asked him, hoping that it could've changed.
Brandon and Ashley are married, and they're really struggling to have kids. I know how much Brandon loves kids, and so does she... so it's really upsetting to know that their chances of having their own are limited.
However, the look on his face seemed to change my mind, as a small smile appeared.
" good, she might be showing signs " He shrugged, and all of our eyes immediately turned to him.
" what do you mean might be? " Blake asked.
" she's been throwing up a lot, craving stuff, and all of that stuff... obviously she's back in New Jersey now, but we're both going to the doctors when I get back " He announced, and a large grin grew on my face.
" is that why she didn't come? " Kendall asked.
Brandon nodded, fiddling with the blanket that was draped over his shoulder.
" yeah, she was too sick to come but insisted that I went " He said, and I nodded.
We all love Ashley a lot, she's one of us. She's one of the most amazing, kind and down to earth people you could ever meet, and knowing that she's there for my bestfriend makes me so happy. Brandon is lucky to have her, and she's lucky to have him. They're perfect.
" that's great " Grayson beamed, his arm wrapped around my waist and my head resting on his shoulder.
Brandon nodded, obviously thinking about something. Probably worrying, to be honest. His wife is back home in Jersey, possibly pregnant, and he doesn't even know. He's probably also telling himself not to get his hopes up, after all this has happened so many times, and each time has been even more heartbreaking for the two. It's dreadful.
We were interrupted from our conversation when Alex and Lola stepped outside, standing beside one another with shy smiles on their faces. Just the way Alex was stood reminded me of Grayson, everything about him does. He is his son, after all.
" we're leaving now " Alex said, as Cameron smirked.
" for what? " Cameron smirked, even though he knew what it was.
" for our date " Lola almost whispered, obviously afraid of people's reactions, but why?
" have fun guys, don't be back too late " Ariel smiled, as did Alex and Lola.
They nodded, walking out together looking so freaking adorable. I can honestly see them being together for a long time, even forever. They're only 16, but I met the love of my life when I was a baby! I just didn't know it yet ;)
