Easter dinner with the murdochs - part two

Everyone was seated at Murdoch's dining table and they actually had seating arrangements, Julia was beside Perry , Gillies was across from Julia , Murdoch was across from Perry and of course beside Gillies,  Emily was at the one end of the table, George at the other , Gillies was currently laughing at something Murdoch said as Murdoch look a bite of ham , Julia looked to Emily's left hand " Emily ? Is that a engagement ring?" She asked , everyone stopped talking and looked to Emily " yes it is julia, George proposed yesterday but I was waiting for this evening to show you. " Emily explained, George went red " that's fantastic Emily! Congratulations! " Julia exclaimed " oh ... Julia, I know we don't have anything else planned but me and George have already decided who shall be in our wedding party and I was wondering if you'd like to be my maid of honour?" Emily asked, Julia beamed " of course Emily! " Julia replied, George looked to Murdoch " sir I-" George started, Murdoch gave him a stern look " it's William when we're off work." He explained flatly, George shrugged it off " I was wondering, would you do the honour of being my best man?" George asked hesitation in his voice " I'd be honoured George,  of course I will." Murdoch replied, Gillies placed a hand over the detectives and planted a kiss on his cheek " so you're a detective , inventor and best man what's next ?" Gillies joked , perry scoffed " Husband." Perry stated as Gillies pretended to be angry at the comments that even the detective would come at one point, the conversations went like this for the rest of dinner and until everyone left. Gillies and Murdoch were curled in bed together, and sound asleep, dreaming Easter dreams.
