It wasn't what happened, it's what followed - Gillies/Murdoch story

Home sweet home .... even with you

~ About a week had past , Gillies was not officially but also not unofficially living with the Detective, and it was , even if it still felt awkward to come home to someone, Murdoch did enjoy it. ~

Gillies had sat Murdoch's plate down on the table , and as he sat a mug down with the plate the door opened " Dinners on the table Detective!" Gillies called into the next room , Murdoch kicked off his shoes and walked into the kitchen "isn't it a bit early for dinner James ? It's only 4:30 ..." Murdoch asked , gillies smiled , he had forgotten that they were now on first name basis " a tad yes, but I was hoping that we could go to the movies with Julia tonight, but the newer ones with sound .....wait until movies become colour........ it will be fun ! " gillies replied as Murdoch began to eat , Murdoch smiled then swallowed his sip of coffee " what ?" Gillies asked as Murdoch placed a hand on Gillies' hand " home sweet home..... even with you. " Murdoch stated , gillies beamed and quickly kissed Murdoch's cheek , which Murdoch still wasn't all to comfortable with yet although he was slowly getting used to it , after all he knew that Gillies had feelings for him , as gillies once said " you okay William? " gillies asked , Murdoch nodded and began to continue eating. They had made plans to meet up with Dr.Julia Ogden and go to the movies , it was opening night and all of Toronto was excited about this event " we should go in a few minutes James. We still have to walk three blocks just to get to Julia's place. Dr.Grace and George will already be there with her." Murdoch commented, Gillies not so willingly got up off of Murdoch ( where he had been lying ) and went to go get his shoes on , Murdoch following suit , within no time they were ready to go , they got to Julia's and the six  'acquaintances ' left to go see Mr.Pendricks new movie with sound .
