James' pov
i tried calling and running after her as she ran away. She didn't turn around.
I sighed and walked back into the school. Melody, Ethan, and Jason run up to me.
" is she okay?"
"where is she?"
"what was that about?"
"did all of that really happen to her?"
All of them were worriedly asking questions.
"yes all of that happened.to her, she's not okay, and she ran off. " I say as I shake my head.
Then my phone vibrated, it was Lila.
'going to visit my dad's grave in New York don't follow, I need space'
I stared shocked at my phone and showed it to the others they gasped.
" Listen if she doesn't come back by tomorrow, we go after her alright"
"okay, but where did she get the money for the plane?" Ethan asked.
" Probably her winnings from her fights"melody mumbles.
"What fights?!" Jordan and Ethan exclaim.
"she street fights, she's not the nerd we know, she used a cover probably hoping we wouldn't find out what everyone found out today." I sigh.
Their eyes turned sad.
" how can so someone go through that much and not be emotionally unstable?" Ethan asked exasperated.
Melody answers him " she said that she fights because she can't handle her emotions, I guess it's her stress reliever "
There was a pause, everyone is digesting the information.
"okay well let's head to class, if she's not here by tomorrow we're going to New York to search for her" I declare.
Everyone heads off to class
