--) Loki's POV (--

I saw how sad the winged-girl looked on the helicopter. She reminded me of myself, she looked fierce. I hadn't meant what I said, back in the Stark building. I thought her wings were quite unnatural, yes, but she wasn't a freak. Oh, Loki, you're becoming too soft I sighed. I saw her look at me and realize I had been staring at the winged girl.

I quickly turned my gaze.

--) Robyn's POV (--

The helicopter landed, and we all got off and enter the headquarters. I kept forgetting to fold them in, after not using them for so long, and often found them bumping into a lot of stuff, which was extremely embarrasing. Nobody seemed to notice though.

We all sat around a table. People began talking, but all I heard was small bits like "next attack" and "prepared" and "a few days". I guessed they were talking about the next monster attack from the portal. I sat patiently, waiting for them to finish.

Once they were done, and I only noticed this because they stopped talking and everyone got up, I got up as well. I didn't know where to go. Agent Coulson came up to me. "Robyn, I realize that you have no other accommodations nearby and since we need you to fight the next battle, we'd like to offer you a temporary apartment nearby." he said, obviously expecting me to say yes. "Sure" I replied. Why not? "Oh, and since, well," he looked around, "since we don't fully trust Loki, we'd like you to watch him for the next few days" he said, the last part a whisper. I laughed. "You want me to babysit the god of mischief and lies?" I nodded, saying that I'd do it for them. On the outside, I played it cool, pretending not to care. But on the inside, I shuddered, afraid.

I calmly walked up to Loki, who was standing sadly in the middle of the room, looking like a lost kid. When I approached him, he seemed surprised.

"What is it that you wish, winged-girl" he asked. I flicked my wings, taking note on what he called me. "Well, first off my name's Robyn, and I'm here to watch you for the next few days" I said, not wanting him to get to me. "You're what?" he asked, disbelievingly. He looked surprised, like someone had just told him that the Avengers weren't mad at him anymore, but at the same time he looked kind of happy. "Thats right!" I said, extinguishing my fear and grabbing his arm and pulled him out the door. "And today, we're going to have lots of fun!" I laughed. He grumbled something that sounded like I don't need to be babysat, and I'm pretty sure he thought I was insane from the look he gave me.

I got into a car that an agent had let me borrow and motioned for Loki to get in too. "First off, we need to get you some new clothes. Those definitely don't fit in" He looked at me, seeming offended. "You should not be talking about not fitting in, winged girl" I squirmed a little in my seat, knowing that's exactly what he wanted. I turned towards him and he was smirking at me.

I started to drive towards the apartment address Agent Coulson had given me. Once we got there, I tucked my wings basically into my body. Gratefully the front desk man was too engrossed in his magazine to notice. We got upstairs, and I was happy to see some food on the counter already. "This place is awfully small" Loki remarked, walking in.

There were two bedrooms, and I guessed which one was mine. When I entered, I noticed a small pile of my old clothes, including a baggy sweater without and a couple with slits in the back. I smiled. I quickly changed into some more comfortable clothes, pulling the baggy sweater over my wings.

I exited the bedroom to find Loki standing in the living room, confused. He saw me and his eyes widened. "What had happened to your wings?" he asked examine my back. I laughed. "I have to hide them, or else people will ask questions" I replied, still laughing.

I picked up the keys again. "Come on, we need to get you some normal clothes" Loki groaned but followed me. We both sat in the car, and I turned on the radio. Suddenly, one of my favourite songs blasted on the radio.

RADIOACTIVE, RADIOACTIVE. OH OH OH OH OH

"This is my favourite song!" I screeched, singing along. Loki looked horrified. "What's the matter?" I asked, grinning. "Your blasted Midgardian music is deafening me" he said, but once again smirked at me. I smirked right back. "Too bad" I said, accelerating the car. "Are you even a licensed driver?!" he shrieked, gripping his chair. I nodded, but he didn't see. "I'm going to die..." He kept saying as I drove to the mall.

After we came back from the mall, I made Loki change into "Midgardian wear" as Loki liked to put it. A few times during the outing, I had caught Loki watching me, smiling. But when I asked him about it, he denied it even happened. I had simply shrugged it off before, but now it got me thinking. What if Loki liked me? I thought, smiling. Just then, Loki came out of his room dressed in a green t-shirt and black pants.

"Not too bad" I said, grinning. Loki grunted something inaudible. We watched TV for a bit, before he announced "I am hungry, winged-gir- I mean uh Robyn" he said. I shrugged. "Why don't we just go out to eat?" I asked, getting up and not giving him a chance to answer. He didn't really seem to understand what I meant, but he hesitated. "Does this mean I must ride in your machine again?" I grinned evilly and nodded. I laughed.

"Well, I guess I could just go pick up a pizza or something" I said, picking up my keys. "and that way you don't have to come with me." He looked relieved for a moment but then looked confused. "Is pizza another of your Midgardian foods?" he asked, wrinkling his nose. I nodded, laughing. "Thats pretty much all I eat anyway, so it doesn't look like you have many more choices." He waved me off, sitting on the couch and watching the TV. It was a crime show, talking about murderers and stuff. Probably not the best idea, letting him watch that... I regretted, leaving the apartment.

I got into my car and drove to the pizza place down the street.

--) Loki's POV (--

I did not know what I thought of Robyn. On the outside, she looked like she was having a lot of fun, always laughing and reply to my snarky comments with her own. But when I got close enough to look in her eyes, like earlier in SHIELD headquarters, I could see she felt broken on the inside. As I mentioned before, she reminded me of myself.

Blasted Midgardians. Always yanking your heart strings. I smirked to myself.
