As it turns out the rest of science class went by fairly quickly, but only because I was lost in lala land. My gaze couldn't stay off of Ryan for more than five minutes. He was truly a sight to behold. The way his mucels would flex as he wrote was captivating, and his broad shoulders stuck out so perfectly along with his chiseled chin, and blue eyes that made me feel as though I would drown in them to never surface again.
I was soon dragged away from my own castle in my mind when the oh so loud bell rang. I was brought back into reality to now notice that everyone was getting their stuff together and leaving. I looked down at my desk to put my pencil and paper away, only to see something that made my eyes grow in size times 10.I had drawn a picture perfect portrait of Ryan on that paper that I was just 'doodling' on earlier. I freezed when Ryan himself was right next to me looked over my shoulder at the portrait. I didn't know what do, so I stuttered a sorry and picked up my bag and paper before literally sprinting out the door to my next class. I'm sure he thinks I'm weird now. I mean I did just stare at him the whole class and draw him without myself even knowing. I mentally slap my forehead. This is the reason I have no friends in this school. Just as the bell rung I walked in the door of my next class which was Biology. I went straight to my seat still in thought about what I had just done.
More time passed and more classes had flew by. I was now in gym, which I absolutely hated by the way. I mean it was a-okay in elementy school when we didn't have to do much, but then that all had to change one in middle school. I hated the fact that we had to change out in the same room. And they specifically told us we were not allowed to use the bathrooms to dress out, but guess what. I still do. It makes me uncomfortable to have to change out in front of everyone. Makes me self-conscious about myself. As I stepped out of the little cubical bathroom stall in the girls restroom in the gym I took one last glance at myself in the mirror over a sink. I had on the uniform that we were told to wear in this class which was a pair of really short red shorts that could be classified as botty shorts, and a T-shirt that had the school name on it, and a number on the back to tell us apart easily. The shirt also happened to be a bit form fitting and hugged my body, but not to bad.
I walked out of the bathroom and into the gym where everyone met up to stretch before class. The system was bonkers in here. Girls had to stand in the front facing the coach, while boys stood behind and rated our features. Lucky for me I had to stand towards the back of the group of girl. Sarcasm. The coach counted off for us to start off and reach for out toes. I did so, and heard several cat calls from behind me. I just put it off and told myself they were talking about another girl. Then I heard my number, which is 22 by the way. They were watching me. Me. My face burned red as they continued. I was happy however when stretching was over. I went over and sat on the bleachers waiting for the coach to call out the activity for the day.
Her wistel blew and caught everyones attention," today we will run laps around the gym." Coach Hall said yelling across the gym
Multiple groans were heard throughout the gym which earned glares from Coach Hall.
"Get to it. Sweat isn't gonna run if you just stand there." She yelled and everyone began to run in a ring shape around the outer edge of the gym.
I was peacefully running keeping a good breathing tactic, when I heard my number being called again, but by a firmilar voice. Ryan. I began to run fast, which only caused more cat calls. Not what I wanted.
But it wasn't just him calling my number, there were others too. Todd Cadwells, Jake Crewing, and Kade Jeffersons were doing it too.
"Hey Ryan I dare ya to go chat that one up." Todd said with his usual cocky tone.
Of course he would become best buds with them. But why. I would never understand.
"Hey- wait its you." I was surprised by Ryan who took the expression of shock to his face as he stopped running for a second. However I kept up my speed and still ran. He soon caught up with me again and starred. I just pretended he wasn't there.
"I liked the portrait of me you drew in science." He said huffing and puffing from running and talking at the same time
I just nodded and kept running not knowing how to respond, and really not wanting to look his way because I knew if I did I wouldn't look away. It had now been a few good minutes now of him starting at me. The rolls have switched. Coach Halls wistel blew and everyone slowly came to a halt.
"That's a rap for today, go get changed." She said taking more interest in whatever was on her phone then to us.
I began to walk off the girls restroom when I halted my footsteps. Someone had just groped my butt. I turned around to see all 4 guys with sly smirks on their faces as they starred at my body. All of them but Ryan. He starred at my face. Only.
"Which one of you touched me?" I asked looked over them all.
They all pointed to Jake who just flashed me a devilish smile, that any normal girl would have fallen for, but not me.
I raise my fist then throw it at Jake in the jaw. My face made a painful expression as I felt my nucel come in contact with his jaw. I pulled my hand back and held it like a hurt baby bird in my other hand as my eyes began to tear up.
"Aww don't cry sweet cheeks."Jake says coming closer to me. I turn around quickly and go in the restroom before anything could happen.
I changed back into my original clothes and stepped out the restroom to see everyone waiting for the bell to ring. Jake, Todd, Ryan, and Kade were in a group by the doors. Just as I walked out the bell rang signaling the end of the day. However I still had to go to my locker to put my stuff away.
At my locker I opened it still cradling my injured hand against my chest. When I closed my locker I was scared almost half to death by non other than Ryan. I breathed for a second then regained my composure and looked him in the eyes waiting for him to break the silence.
"Come on." He said motioning for me to follow him to wherever.
"How do I know your not going to try and kidnap me?" I asked with a little bit of a childish tone.
"If I were to kidnap you then you wouldn't be standing here right now." He said almost in a teasing manner.
A smirk was pulled onto his face before walking back to me and grabbing my uninjured hand and leading me somewhere. I felt the same way I did this morning when we shook hands. His being much larger than mine. It made me feel safe in a way.
We made it outside and he brought me to a nice fancy Corvette. Opening the door he released my hand to dig around for someing inside. He pulled out a first-aid kit.
"I'm fine, really." I said hiding my now bruised hand behind my back.
He pulled my hand from behind my back and straightened it out which hurt, and wrapped it in an almost cast like material, but more flexible.
"That will help, but take some meds when you get home." He said giving me a sincere look in his eyes.
"Okay. And about the drawing I wasn't really paying attention to myself. I didn't really even realize I was drawing it." I sputtered out at him.
"No problem. It looked pretty darn good in my opinion. I don't care, I liked being drawn like one of your French girls." He said before plastering his face with a smirk.
I blushed in response at him which earned me a slight chuckle from him.
"If anything I should be sorry. The guys were, well you know." He said looked to the ground in shame, but then back to me, "But you know they weren't lieing. You did look pretty damn good in that gym uniform." He said winking at me. His thick British accent causing a sudden trance to come over my body, but soon leave.
