I never truly found out what happened to my mom, but soon after Ryan showed up a doctor told me she was stable again.
I was sent home and clung to Ryan for dear life as if he were about to vanish from my arms at any second.
"Hey, I can't stand to see you like this." He stated tilting my head up from its spot on his chest to look at him.
We were sat on my bed sitting in silence as I rested my head in his chest listening to his steady heartbeat. I was curled up beside him like a cat, as he cradeled me with his gentle hands. The size difference in us was funny actually. He was so much taller than me that he was practicality a wall going all the way round me. But I was happy to have Ryan. He was my anchor when the storm picked up and never has he left me to drift away.
"We're going to do something fun." He said giving me a smile that read mischief all over it.
...
"Guys. I'm not sure if we should be doing this. Couldn't we get caught?" I said weakly as Kade, Jake, Todd, Ryan, and I sat in the bushes of the Jordan webers house. The girl that tries so hard to ruin my life is in that house as we speak too.
"Nonsense, we're fine. We do this all the time." Kade responds sending me a kind smile.
"Besides, getting caught is the best part." Jake added practically bouncing up and down with.
"Cover everything in sight." Ryan said kissing me on the cheat quickly.
"Alright the last light just went off. Were free to go." Todd stated motioning for us to move from our spots, "Stick to the walls and don't get in front of any windows." He said gesturing to me.
Kade ran out first with his trash bag full of toilet paper. Throwing it up landed in the branches of a big oak tree.
"Come on." Ryan said pushing me to move.
I stood and drew back my arm holding a roll of toilet paper. It was thrown and landed on the roof of her gigantic house.
By the time we were done the big fountain in the center of their circular driveway was now soggy with paper and the trees looked more like something out of a haunted house. It looked hilarious.
The guys were high fiveing each other, all laughing and joking around when I light popped on in the house. The front door open and a figure stepped out.
"Uh, guys." I said slapping Ryan on the arm to get his attention.
He met where my worried glance was placed at and said one word," scram!"
He took off running down the lawn to our cars at a ungodly spread followed by the others. I stood however petrified until a loud harsh bark came from the house. Oh lord they let out a dog.
I ran as fast as my legs would carry me through the grass as a dog chased after me. My breath was rapid and my chest stung with a slight burn. The wind blowing past my head was beginning to make my eyes water and my hair was blowing behind me and into the wind.
I could see the guyss car's in sight about 20 feet away and the dog that was catching up to me quickly was nipping dangerously close to me now. I angled for Ryan's car as he held open the door for me. It was so close yet so far at the same time. An unknown feeling rushed into my find and flowed through my veins as the world passing around me went quite.
The quietness was ruined though as I dived in Ryans car and landed painfully into the seat as the door was shut behind me and Ryan peeled out off the lawn and onto the road where he booked it. I breathed harshly as I hunched over in my seat and held my chest.
