I had said my goodbyes to Ryan, then made my way over to my car. I just sat there for a bit then finally cranked it up and made my way home. As I pulled into my driveway I saw another car also parked there besides my mothers.
Getting out with suspicion, I made my way to the front door and unlocked it, to be greated by a glorious sight in front of me. I let out the most ear rinching shreak and ran straight into the arms of my best friend.
"ELLIOT!!!!" I screamed in joy as he picked me up and spun me in a circle.
Just a little back story real quick. Elliot was my best friend back in middle school, and freshmen year, but sadly he had to move away due to his father wanting him to go to a military school. I guess he got out of it.
"OMG I CAN'T BELIEVE YOUR BACK!!" I screamed letting out another ear rinching noise.
"I missed you too Lissy." He said with the widest smile across his face.
"I knew she would be happy to see him." I turned my head to see Elliot's mom, Cindy, and my mom casually sitting on the couch. They were best friends before Elliot's family moved away. If it weren't for his mom then I probably would have never had a friend in my life.
"Come, I have to catch you up on so much stuff." I exclaimed pulling him to my room.
My room was the same as its been for years. A nice neutral dark red colored the walls, and posters along with pictures were hung carelessly among the spaces that they would fit. Most of the pictures were of me and Elliot, but there are ones of me and my mom, and me, my mom, and my dad. I kept that specific picture on my night stand to forever remember my father. He had died while over seas fighting in the Navy when I was six years old. Ever since I've hated the military with a passion. I know they save our country and all that, but it also killed my dad.
My vanity witch held all my makeup was in the corner of my room and a body mirror was hung on the closet door next to it. My queen sized bed sitting in the other corner of the room only accessible from one side. My room also had its own batheroom.
I pulled Elliot into my room and flopped onto the bed pulling him with me. After a fit of laughter for a bit because he hit his head on my wall I began to spill about the current events this year so he would be all caught up on everything. I even told his about Ryan, and showed him my hand which he had nurtured earlier. In return he told me about life at military school. He also stated that he was much stronger now and if anyone tries to hurt me he'll hurt them.
This is what I missed about Elliot. The fact that we could tell each other anythng, and the other would be okay with it. We also spoke the truth to each other. Its the clear definition of a best friend. We were now back to being inseparable.
And turns out that he will be coming back to carter high, with me! I freaked out and told him I could drive him to school, so we could step out in dark sun glasses and look really bad ass. But after our hour of talking we decided to just turn on a movie, and get some snacks. It didn't last long though because his mother dragged him home around 11 or so.
Things were looking good for Lizzy Satire.
After giving the longest goodbye hug to Elliot before he left, I had a quick shower then used the last of my energy and crawled into bed snuggling up to my warm blankets. May peaceful dreams fall in my future.
I was woken up the next morning by my highly obnoxious alarm clock. I reached my hand over to hit it, but I missed sending the loud peace of dream ruining thing across the room. Groaning in frustration, I got up angerly and picked up the cursed thing. Looking at it for a split second then switched it off.
Placing it back on the nightstand, I stretched my limbs, trying to wake myself up. It worked, kinda.
A knock on my bedroom door brought me out of my thoughts and I answered.
"Honey, Cindey and I are going on a girls day out today, and she is bringing Elliot over so you can drive him to school and show him around. Just wanted to tell you because they'll be here in about 10 minutes." My mom's vocie was heard through the door as she told me of today's events.
"Okay mom, thanks for telling me." I responded back beginning to search my closet for something decent to wear.
I ended up finding a light blue washed 1990 tee, and paired it with some black skinny jeans. Adding my white converses and I was ready to start my hair and makeup. My hair was styled in a high pony tail with a little pulled out on the sides of my head to frame my face. My makeup was light. I only wore mascara, foundation, and counseler.
Looking at myself in the body mirror that was hung on my closet door. I did a little twist and looked at my appearance. I looked pretty damn good to say the least.
Grabbing my phone, and bag, I walked out of my room and into the kitchen for some food. I was starving because all I ate last night were snacks.
As I was eating my breakfast I began to make little airplane noises as I fed myself captain crunch cereal. It was just for the fun if it.
"This is air Elliot reporting for take off."I heard Elliot's almost morning groggy voice behind me which caused me to jump out of my seat and knock over my cereal bowl.
I looked at it on the ground for a minute before making a move. I turned around to come face to face with none other than Elliot. He wore a face of fright, as I looked at him emotionless.
"You made me spill my captain crunch." I stated blandly locking our eyes.
"I'm so sorry Lissy, I didn't mean to make you spill your cereal. If it helps I can buy you a lunch at school." He said pleading for my forgiveness.
We stood in silence until I finally answered, "okay, but you better get me the chicken salad with a jello cup." I said narrowing my eyes at him.
"Okay okay, just don't go all sasquatch on me like last time." He said with a sigh of relief.
A smile was pulled onto my face again as I made my way to the door, "come on slow poke, I don't want to be late." I joked while opening the door to the outside world.
