*Peggy's POV*
This whole vacation was stupid, and I didn't want to be here. I should be at home; at least there, Maria had a chance to be alone with Alexander again.
You're Peggy today. Be Peggy.
I thought to myself. I sighed.
---
As usual, we went to Arizona for our vacation. He had an estate there too.
Honestly, it wasn't anything too great. I was too used to it so it was boring for me.
I sighed and walked to my room upstairs, only to be stopped by my mother.
"Peggy, darling? I've arranged for you too see Dr. Grey, the psychologist, remember him?"
I sighed.
Great. A psychologist.
"But why? We- I'm fine!"
I said, almost slipping again.
"Sweetie, this is why. Something's not okay." My mom said softly.
I sighed but nodded, reluctantly.
----
Later that day, I overheard Angelica and mother talking.
"Mom, remember how I keep telling you about Maria Reynolds? And how her color is red?"
"Yes, darling of course. That's the girl who tried to steal Alexander from Eliza, isn't it?"
"Right. And uh, when I was packing for Peggy, I found some clothing not of yellow. And this isn't the first time. They were red."
I saw my mom shake her head and sigh.
Was this it? Was I finally getting caught? This could be the end.
I started to panic.
I ran upstairs and climbed onto the rough, thinking of the impossible.
