Chapter 13

(Choosing Enforcers)

Tori whirled around and kicking the bag with a side kick stumbled as the bag flew off its supports and flew several feet through the air before finally falling to the ground in a heap.

"What's on your mind?" Tori looked over and was surprised to see her father, Warner standing just barely inside the training area.

"Dad!" Tori said. A smile was instantly on her face and she ran to where her father stood. Without a thought she threw her arms around his neck and hugged him. "It's so good to see you! I thought you weren't coming for a few more days."

Warner smiled. "I narrowed down who I needed to early. Your mom and Ken will be here in two days."

"Awesome!" Tori exclaimed excited. "Wait narrowed down early? What are you talking about?" She asked with curious green eyes.

"Get cleaned up and meet me in the Clematis ballroom."

"Okay. Ten minutes."

Warner nodded and watched as his daughter quickly headed out of the room. He turned his eyes back to the fallen bag the moment she was gone. He looked at the supports and seeing how bent they were frowned. The Enforcer couldn't help but wonder what had happened that had caused her to release that much strength. What had caused her to become angry?

The Enforcer left the training room and headed for the ballroom. It took him very little time and he entered the small intimate ballroom that was often used for private meetings that required a larger space than the king's office. He entered the room to see his future son-in-law High Prince Lucas, High Prince Logan and King Landon had joined the small group of enforcers he'd brought to meet the future queen.

"Your majesty, highnesses," Warner said and bowed to the three men.

"Did you not find Tori?" Lucas asked surprised to not see his bride with him.

"Oh I found her," he replied. "She's getting cleaned up and will be joining us soon. Until then does anyone want to tell me what has her mad enough she just kicked a punching bag off its supports and bent said supports?" Warner asked.

"It seems you were right," Landon said and looked over at Lucas. He saw the enforcer's eyes snap towards him out of the corner of his eyes. Turning his head to Warner he said, "Tori gave her first command when some uninvited guests showed up and were rude to Maylene."

"Tori likes Maylene if someone caused her any form of pain then Tori will of course have taken it to heart," Warner said understanding. "The only way she's still mad though is if she doesn't feel the person has paid for wronging Princess Maylene."

"No but they are banned from the castle per her orders," Lucas informed the small group.

"She isn't..."

"The guards have orders to follow any orders she gives unless they are unreasonable," King Landon told the potential enforcers.

"Okay I'm...here," Tori said walking in and freezing. Tori looked to her dad and then to the three members of royalty before scanning the other six people in the room. Suddenly remembering protocol she went to curtsy to her future husband and his family.

"That isn't necessary Tori you're about to be my daughter in law," King Landon told her.

Tori gave a nod and looked at her father. "Am I helping you train or something?" She asked.

"NO they are potential enforcers for you," he replied.

"Me?" Tori asked looking baffled.

"Tori you are the future queen. You need enforcers," Lucas told her. "I asked your father to choose who he thought would be best suited for you."
