Enforcers Selected Part 24

Tori was a little excited as the car headed towards Custos Manor. It hadn't been easy but Warner had gotten the council to agree to let Tori visit the enforcer boarding school with some help from Lucas. Reluctantly the council had agreed but as always they attached rules to the trip. One was that Lucas go with her, which he was happy to do. The second was that Viktor had to go or Warner had to remain at the castle. Lucas had thought it best both trainers accompany them and Tori had agreed.

"Is that it?" Tori asked as they neared two very tall iron gates held by brick.

"Yes it is," Justin confirmed.

The Limo pulled off the road and the doors opened to allow them entrance. They drove through the gates and the gates closed to prevent anyone else from entering. As the car made its way toward the main building Tori couldn't help but smile. She found the area to be beautiful with its lush green foliage and trees. The car drove up over a hill and a five story brick building was revealed along with several other brick buildings.

"That's the dorm rooms," Warner told her pointing to the taller building. Tori smiled at him and he knew she was slightly relieved.

Tori wasn't familiar with boarding schools and the few she had heard about on the news were not nice places. She was afraid she'd see something dark and dreary but to her surprise the school wasn't dark at all. Even the stone on the buildings was a mixture of white, tan, and three different shades of brown. Only one of the bricks was even slightly dark at all. In all honesty she thought the school, at least from the outside, seemed welcoming.

The car came to a stop under a covered awning and the group exited the limo. They were immediately greeted by a man in a medium gray suit.

"Your highness," the man said and bowed to Lucas. "Welcome it Custos Manor. I am the Director Richard Task."

"Mr. Task this is my fiancé, Lady Tori," Lucas said introducing his bride.

"A pleasure my lady. As I am already familiar with everyone else I suggest we go inside and I shall give you your badges," No one argued and walked with the director inside the two story building. They were each given a visitor's badge along with a map and a schedule for reference as to when students would and would not be in class.

"Lady Tori, Prince Lucas, if at any time you wish to speak to any of the staff please let me know," Richard told them. Picking up a folder he offered it to Tori. Your father sent me a list of some of the questions you had and I was able to have the instructors answer your questions."

"Thank you," Tori said taking the folder.

"You're quite welcome. These are also for you," he said and handed her a small ring with a few keys on it. "Each one is labeled to identify each person's room. You are free to look at anything you wish." Tori gave a nod and looked at Warner and Viktor. "We are having a sparring competition in an hour if you care to watch."

"Thank you Richard," Warner told him. Richard nodded and the group walked away.

Tori didn't want to waste any time and headed right for her potential enforcer's rooms. The first one they reached was Anna's. Tori opened the door and walked inside. She wasn't concerned about Anna but since she had the opportunity to look figured why not? Anna's room was decorated in blues and greens and there were pictures of the ocean next to her bed. A seahorse pillow was on her bed and seashells hung along the headboard.

"I knew she was a water girl," Tori said smiling. She looked over at her father but he only shrugged. "Next room." One by one she explored each of their rooms. While some surprised her others did not. Then she came to Ranger and Archer's room. She opened the door and stepped inside.
