Chapter 18

Amber .

I sat in my car scrambling through my phone . Once I came across his name , I prayed to god that it was the same number as before . I hadn't talked to Algee in months ; and I was hoping that he was willing to speak to me .

"Umm .. Amber ?" He said as he picked up the phone . That sweet and soft yet deep voice , lord knows how much I missed it .

"Yeah .. Algee , can you give me your address ? I need to talk to you .." I sniffled

"Oh my gosh Amber what's wrong ?? Are you okay ?"

"Yeah , just text me your address so I can come speak to you ." He said alright before hanging up the phone . A couple of seconds later I got a buzz on my phone , indicating that he had texted me the address .

I drove for about 30 minutes because Algee lived on the other side of town . When I pulled up to his house , it was beautiful . I mean , I know him and Keith were working on this movie together , but I didn't know it paid them this much . I pulled down the mirror in my car to check to see what I looked like and I looked horrible . My eyes were extremely red , my hair was in a messy bun , and my mascara was running down my face . I sighed before exiting the car and walking up to the front door . I rung the doorbell and within a couple of seconds Algee opened it up . God , look how handsome he looks . He had no shirt on and basketball shorts . He had a tattoo on his arm that covered the bottom half and a fresh haircut . Water was running down his back and I had figured that he must've gotten out of the shower not too long ago .

"Yo .. Amber , you good?" He asked me as he held my hands in his . I chuckled a little before nodding my head and entering his house .

"Come upstairs to my room , we can talk in there . " I nodded my head once again before looking around . His house was huge and smelled like fresh roses . I walked up the stairs , following behind Algee as I looked at his frame . He'd become buff , based off of what I seen . I had to stop myself from drooling over this man .

"I missed you so much .. I've just been busy and I haven't been able to talk to you . Don't think I forgot about you Algee , because I didn't ." I put my head down . He grabbed my chin and raised my head .

"Don't worry , I've been busy too . And I miss you more . I'd never forget about you , Amber . It's just that with this movie and everything - I haven't been able to really be in contact with anyone but the boys . I'm still single - believe it or not !" He laughed which made me chuckle . We both hugged for a while before continuing our conversation .

"So what's up , why'd you call me crying ?"

"I'm still going through the same shit with Keith , Algee ." I sighed before telling him everything that happened . When I looked up , he had a tear rolling down his face . It's as if he felt pity for me , and I didn't want that .

"Algee , please don't cry ." I wiped his tear .

"Nah Amber , Its as if I feel like I'm apart of your relationship . Me and you were so close and I know what you were going through before , but after this miscarriage and then finding out about what happened to you when you went to talk to Keith ; its just unbearable to deal with . I'm so sorry Amber , I really am . I wasn't there for you like I should've been . I feel like this is all my fault . " At this point , me and Algee were both crying in each other's arms .

" It isn't your fault , I'm the dumb one for staying in this relationship with a man who's never gonna get over the little boy games . It's my fault for not leaving when I had the chance to . I should've left that mother fucker the first time I found out he cheated on me." I giggled . Algee patted me on the back and told me he was gonna take me somewhere . We walked downstairs into the basement where there was loud music booming through the whole floor . I smiled and bopped my head to the beat as we walked into a black door . When Algee opened it I couldn't believe my eyes . He had a studio in the basement of his house and it was honestly beautiful . Algee knew how much I loved music and writing poetry . I've written a few songs before but I've never shown anyone but him . Me and Algee were honestly closer than anyone thought . During the rest of spring break I spent most of my time with Algee . While Keith would be upstairs sleeping or texting whoever he was , I would be downstairs with Algee just talking and laughing about random things . He was literally like my bestfriend .
