This morning was not filled with yelling doctors or unfamiliar rooms, however, one thing did scream this morning...

The elite guard...

He woke us with loud tantrums and metal sticks crackling against our bars, while yelling at us, as he said, to 'wake the hell up.'

The next thing we knew, we were kicked out of our cells and immediately chained...

Like dogs, we were following the guards to god knew where...

It felt like we have walked around the entire building before our noses perked up at the smell of something's sweet... something's green...

Something's slightly decayed...

The hall...

It was crowded with all the prisoners...

Guards were everywhere staring at the prisoners eating, like vultures.

Every accused criminal was there.

It didn't matter if they were women.

Or men.

Even children.

It was my first breakfast, as far as I could remember. My first reaction to the food they gave us? .... I didn't mind the broccoli or undercooked carrots, but it was the meat that bothered me... it was unusually sweet and had an aroma that was... terrible.

"Clara, don't... just don't eat it.... I've heard rumours that people in this hell place disappear," I heard a voice,"...and weirdly nobody ever drives in fresh meat to this place..." A woman hissed to another who seemed close to her.... maybe she was her daughter or sister.

Her ... 'friend' released a sigh with her eyes rolling to the other woman's rumours, "Then where do the vegetables come from... huh?" She replied aggressively.

After hearing this conversation... I couldn't even feel hungry anymore...

I stared at my food with a slight tremble...

Just a simple... shiver.

But something drew my attention upwards...

My world could only freeze...

He came.

The man from before...

The... strong animal that needed to be held by four vicious men... Yes, I include that doctor too.

He sat down at an empty table at the back...

This man I've seen before...

Oh, how I wished that we were allowed to move places so I could at least try and talk to him... to find something new...

Someone... New...

However such actions would perhaps be considered 'suspicious' by the guards, so I stayed put.

I promised myself that next time, I'll sit next to him to give him comfort and company. Maybe that'll brighten up his dark mood?

Perhaps he would finally sleep at night...

Instead of making tantrums...

~•~

From time to time, I couldn't help but look back at him...

I was sorry for my sin for staring upon this handsome creature-

Man...
