(Y/n) Turpin was forced into a loveless marriage with Judge Turpin, who is one of the key characters to Sweeney's Story.
(Y/n) and Sweeney have a more intertwined story than it seems, as Judge Turpin fell for Lucy Barker's (Sweeney's, then Benjamin, wife).
Judge Turpin never loved or had an interest in (Y/n) Turpin, therefore he didn't waste a second upon asking the Beadle to send her away.
He declared (Y/n) dead to gain his freedom, and to guarantee his freedom, he made sure that (Y/n) would not dare to come back.
The Beadle hit her head harshly till it bled (referenced in the first chapter).
During this, Judge Turpin also had his doings with Benjamin Barker.
Benjamin and (Y/n) were never meant to meet, in Turpin's eyes, however fate was on their side upon having Sweeney's prison become over flooded with the ocean water.
Sweeney, and the rest of the men as prisoners, were sent to (Y/n)'s prison for women as it was the closest option.
During her time with Judge Turpin, (Y/n) viewpoints were twisted into his believing and she grew to view everyone as 'creatures'.
This habit had followed her, and she could never understand why.

Sweeney was always uncertain upon how to treat (Y/n). He was unsure of what position she held in his story.
He was unsure if he should hate her, or take care of her.
In his eyes, she was either the culprit or the victim.
This confusion, made him try to push her away constantly.
Eventually, his morals and ideas changed.
He began to grow feelings towards her, probably because she was the only company he had, he's unsure. But that was bad for him.
He was a married man, and he expected to see his wife once he'd returned.
He pushed (Y/n) away because he was aware of what was happening and it was wrong.
Upon losing her, and finding her again, his views have changed upon learning the 'death' of his wife.
He was free to have (Y/n).
But yet so, he chose his revenge first.
He thought of his plans as to finish the job, and escape with (Y/n) once again, hence why keeping her, and giving her the notebook.
However, things took a turn upon finding out that fated night that his wife was alive all along.
Lucy's death was his karma.
He surrendered to death out of guilt.
The starstruck and Stockholm Syndrome abused (Y/n) continues her own off-set story upon finding out the death of her 'lover'.
