I had woken up.

Once again, I felt seasick...

We've been on this ship for two days and I already thought that I have made a mistake....

Nobody talked to me or dared to look at me.... including Mr. Barker himself.

The atmosphere was full of loneliness.... I was unwanted....

I wished that at least I'd find some sort of company on that ship, but I was afraid of everyone. Any wrong word, and they would start questioning my identity...

Fortunately to the situation, but unfortunate to my wants, everyone acted as if I was the Black Death chasing them down....

I have heard that a woman on board is 'bad luck' but.... it is just a rumour.
A quite rude one at that...

My only entertainment at the time was watching the sailors work and run around... then I would go back inside into my given room, and let sleep take over my day and nights...

I had nothing.

And slowly, I was beginning to feel like my existence did not have a purpose.

My freedom had no purpose.

The challenge was colder than I expected.

It was going to be her last day...
Alive.

She had no purpose or use to me...
But that evening, when I sneaked upon her room with a blade, my eyes caught on her sleeping figure.

Something about her being dead, did not fulfill my deathlist.

Aside that event, I have kept an eye on her...

I had no particular reason for doing so...
Or perhaps I did not know it yet, but it was enough for me to notice a concern.

The sailors did not keep her company.

They were avoiding her.

A part of me felt cruelly happy about that thought...

But a part of me, saw a reflection of the naive Benjamin Barker, I used to be.

I couldn't help, but pity her.

I

woke up earlier than usual at the many days on the ship.

The air was cold, but refreshing...

I could see the golden sun rising, and the birds flying in the distance...

The view brought me to stand to the railing...

I held onto it, and inhaled the smell of the salty ocean....

Releasing my breath, my eyes began to wonder around my surroundings...

And my eyes fell upon Benjamin sitting at the corner, against the wall...

He didn't notice me... his attention was captured by his writing...
