Under this thin roof and cold metal bars, I could only watch as the seasons changed... it was hard to decipher what month was it, or its term, considering this mansion-size cage did not own trees...

But the sun definitely changed its power of heat...

Or even colour...

It has grown to be cold and pale grey...

.... it snowed recently too.

We were not provided better clothing that could warm us from this upcoming winter.

What they did do, was provide blankets...

Of course, they did that with reluctance...

They only did that when they noticed many dying from the cold...

I, myself, was on a close call to a death bed.

They have not managed to repair the flooded male prison, therefore I have spent my lonely days watching Mr Barker mourn at his empty table - where he always sat...

He didn't cry... ever...

What he did do though was bring depression upon his table... remove anyone else that sat on his table... and of course, he starved himself...

This starvation that he brought upon himself has caused him more pain than intended...

These cruel vultures, the guards, would notice his acting up and beat him right on the spot - in front of every child, woman and man.

He was constantly humiliated...

And I knew that only time could tell until he snapped...

But he never did.

He would accept his beatings like a child - until he bled continuously...

Ever since our last conversation, I never talked to him again.... or sat next to him...

I didn't dare to.

Somehow, seeing the flowers bloom again, was one the saddest things upon the time spent here...

The blues and purples and whites like daisies, grew from ageing gaps in walls - seeking for freedom from the bricks, like many closed within this familiar hell...

The spring flowers were a reminder for each one of us that the most beautiful moments in life will be spent in darkness, and surrounded by death.

For myself, it had a meaning too...

It has been almost a year since I woke up in these unfamiliar surroundings...

However now... they are the only thing I knew...

Never changing... just sometimes had additions like extra cracks or greens...

However, on this particular day...

There was an unexpected change...

During lunch, sitting surrounded by other skeletons, I felt a voice creep down my spine...

"Remember how you said that you'll do anything for me to get my mercy?" His voice spoke concerningly calm like Lucifer that was trying to strangle me...
