The ocean waves collided into our faces more times than I could remember. Our arms and legs were beginning to grow numb through the constant attempts to swim into nothingness.

I was sure that my lips were blue from the cold, and Benjamin's teeth kept shuttering... I could even hear the collision of his teeth all the way from the back...

It was possible we were going to die from hyperthermia.

I was surprised that we already did not - but I supposed that all these winters in prison were almost like a training for this journey...

We both were exhausted... that was for sure.

However we informed each other whenever we wanted a break.

When we had a break, we would float on our backs in the water, and let the waves carry us.

Unfortunately it was hard to breathe during the rest, due to our attempts to keep the air in our lungs to push us up from the water, as well us how the waves hit our sides of the face - threatening to cover us whole...

We were in the middle of the ocean all alone.... there was no doubt that we'll die.

.... to actually see something.

My eyes grew wide.

"Benjamin! A ship! Down there!" I splashed around nervously trying to swim towards that ship. His body phased from the laying position, to rise his own head and look at the direction too.

"A..... ship.....?" He muttered.

It took a few seconds for him to realise the situation and start shouting with me.

"We're over here!" I yelled alongside him, waving my arms - chocking on water, and almost drowning...

But there was nothing...

But desperate for help, I could only keep yelling as loud and as strong as my will allowed me to be...

And then the miracle happened, the light to my dark world...

The ship began taking a turn towards us...

I could see a passenger close by too, at the edge of the railing, waving his arms at us like a pelican.

At the verge of passing out, I smiled....
