Mr. Sweeney Todd was an odd one...

He had sent me a notebook, a blue-grey skinned with golden cursive detailing. It reminded me of a diary.

It was beautiful...

But something I could not accept...

I wasn't expecting to get anything from a stranger I've only met once...

It seemed odd for me...

Regardless, after Mr. Todd left, I still found the notebook left at the table - despite my refusal.

When he gave it to me at first, he didn't seem particularly interested or desperate...
He muttered, "I wanted to give this to you...", and right after came my refusal.

A nice gift, but a rather strange one - from a stranger.

At the moments of the same day, I have been doing my own business, until I've met an unfamiliar face.

At first glance, I would've thought he was apart of a circus - not that he didn't look good...

Just, in a world of black and white, his blue jacket was like a gun shot in a silent movie.

I believe he was Italian, judging from his accent.

A dressed one, all in bright blue.

He visited my shop, asking if I knew where he could find Mr. Sweeney Todd's barber shop.

It was a great coincidence - this Sweeney Todd was everywhere in my life lately...

However his question stuck another in me...

Sweeney Todd's Barber shop?

I never knew that Mr. Sweeney Todd was a barber.

Due to this lack of knowledge, I had to say no to the man...

He gave me a smile that didn't reach his eyes.

His head shifted to a minimal bow...

His eyes never left mine...

"Hope we meet again, signora..." his voice rang smoothly...

I flashed him a convincing smile, till finally, I was all alone.

... This loneliness didn't last long.

A stumble of footsteps rushed into my shop again...

My head shot up...

It was a man of a comple 180⁰ from the blue showman from before.

I watched the dirty blonde poke his head into my shop...

He was a young man, dressed poorly but heavily...

A definite sailman.

"Pardon me Ms... May I ask you, if you happen to know where I could find Fleet Street?" His gentle voice sounded.

"Sorry - I'm not from around here" I shrugged to the man.

He frowned...

"Alright... have you happen to hear of Sweeney Todd's Barber shop?" He questioned uncaringly.

I sighed, "No. Unfortunately, I don't. Why are men so eager to get to his shop today? Did something happen?"

I watched the man's face roam my shop..."Not sure Ms-"

But then his eyes met mine for the first time.

I watched his eyes expand.
