Back to Katie's P.O.V.
Bucky's P. O.V. Last chapter the part with Katie was a flashback/nightmare. This is a sequel to Love and War. I don't own any characters except Katie Rogers most of story line belongs to Marvel. I also don't own any of the photos or songs in the chapters. Enjoy and potato.
I was jolted awake. A piercing scream rang through the chasm. It was Bucky.
"No! No, no it's okay wake up! Wake up please! It's okay!" I cried.
I lightly slapped his cheek trying to wake him. "Come on Buck, come on."
His eyes fluttered open. His breathing heavy. "Oh thank God!" I exclaimed.
I dug out some pain killers. "Here take this." I said putting it in his mouth. He swallowed.
"Katie?" He said in a croaky voice.
"Yes! Yes it's me!" I replied.
"How-"
"Shh shh it's alright I came back for you. How's you're uh well um stump?" I asked hoping he wasn't offended.
"Better the stuff you apparently did helped." Bucky croaked. I hugged him.
"Thank God!" I exclaimed. I kissed him quickly.
"You-you still love me?" Bucky asked with a confused and hopeful look on his face.
The question killed me. But I kept from crying so he wouldn't worry. "No Buck I threatened a man to take me here for sight seeing." I joked.
When Bucky looked hurt I covered it up quickly. "Of course I still love you! I never stopped! I'll always always love you more than anything! Nothing could make me stop." I promised and I meant it.
"Even though my arms gone?"
"Yes, of course! Maybe Stark can make you another one!" I suggested.
"Even if I turned ugly?"
"I don't care what you look like as long as you still love me I'll always stay with you." I promised.
"What if I became fat?"
"Then you'd have to be careful to not crush me when we cuddle."
Bucky smiled. "I believe you."
"This is a stupid question kind of but are you alright?" I asked worried.
"I am now. Katie are you alright?" Bucky asked.
"I'm fine. Although we may be here a while the helicopter I took here crashed and well exploded." I replied.
"Are you sure?"
"Yes, I saw it blow up."
"No that you're okay?"
"Bucky I'm sure I'd know how I feel." I replied.
"Sometimes people really don't know if they're okay or not and Kate don't lie to me. Please tell me the truth. Katie I want you to promise you'll tell me when you're not okay or hurt. Always no matter what it is even- even if you just got a paper cut." Bucky warbled.
A tear slid down my cheek. "Alright you caught me I'm not. I'm honestly scared, cold, my hand hurts, and and I wasn't even sure if you were alive or not!"
Bucky looked puzzled. "What's wrong with your hand?"
I bit my lip. I didn't really want to tell him the truth. Which is that in attempt to get me to let go of him Bucky drove my dagger through my hand when he fell from the train. And I hadn't treated it at all. So my sapphire engagement ring from him had blood crusted on it and my hand was badly swollen and covered in dried blood. I hadn't realized the pain till now. All I really did with it was bandaged it a little.
I held it out to Bucky. His face fell.
"Oh no, this is what I did isn't it?"
I nodded. "It's alright though don't feel bad. You're the one who lost your arm."
Bucky cringed. "Don't remind me."
"Sorry." I apologized.
"Just come here." He said. I crawled under the blankets with him and immediately felt warmer though not by much. But it still helped. I cuddled closer to him. He wrapped his arm around me and laid his head on my shoulder.
"Katie?"
"Hm?"
"It's okay to cry. You always say to face you're fears. And your fear is being weak. It's okay sometimes to show weakness. It makes a person stronger to do that sometimes. Besides if you bottle your emotions up like you do one day you'll just explode."
"I'll take note of that." I replied and I meant it.
