"So you're golden boy's sister?" A feminine voice asked, "I have to say you're not what I expected at all."
I sat up I had no clue where I was but it seemed like a slightly friendlier environment of a HYDRA facility.
"Who the hell is Golden Boy?" I asked groggily. The woman I was speaking to was about average height with red hair and daring blue eyes. She was pretty I guess.
The redhead was staring me down with a death glare. If looks could kill I'd be dead. "You know I can tell a lot about a person just from first look." She says. "You know what I can tell from you?"
"That you aren't stupid so stop acting like it. " she snapped, "tell the truth."
"The truth of what?" I snarled back.
"Why you betrayed your brother and your country!" She nearly shouted back.
"HYDRA took me in I don't have a brother or a family besides what has my country done for me!" I shot back.
"Personally I think you should be killed right now." She snapped.
"Come at me." I challenged standing up. She was the first to make a move. The woman went to punch my guts I did a back handspring to get away from her kicking her in the face in the process. The woman quickly recovered coming at me again this time knocking me to the floor. I jumped back up pushing my self up with my hands. She swiped at me again I jumped backward trapping myself between her and a silver table with wheels. When the woman swiped at me I jumped up on the table.
Then I somersaulted off shoving the table at her. She managed to kick it back at me. I rolled out of the way. Lucky for me my gun was resting completely unguarded on another table.
I snatched it up and aimed it at the woman. She tensed and seemed rooted to the spot where she stood.
I was about to pull the trigger when a electric shocking sensation went through the back of my head. I crumpled to the floor.

"Katie! Kate!" I heard a now masculine voice calling my name shaking me. When I opened my eyes a everything was hazy. My brother stood over me with a redheaded looking Peggy Carter.
"Steve?" I groaned, "why are you purple and why is Peggy's hair red?"
Steve looked at the woman confused.
"How do you feel?" He asked. I sat up blinking a few times before proper color returned and the redhead clearly was not Peggy Carter.
"Well," I said rubbing my forehead, "I'm alive."
"Do you know me?" He asked.
"Well of course I know you." I snapped slightly annoyed.
"How much do you remember?" Steve asked.
"Almost everything, though I'd rather forget the last 70 years."
"Good, Natasha this is my real sister Katerina Rogers. Katie this is Natasha Romanoff or The Black Widow. She's a friendly." Steve explained.
"Nice to meet you." I said with not much pleasure.
"Great I'll fill you in on everything later Katie, right now what you need to know is that S.H.I.E.L.D is corrupted by HYDRA we're going to figure out why." Steve replied.
This helped me perk up a little. "Yay! A mission where I'm the good guy again!"
Natasha smirked so I sent her a death glare.

"So this flash drive your plan of hiding it was put it in a vending machine behind one pack of gum?" I exclaimed as Steve was getting the flash-drive out of the vending machine.
"It seemed like a good idea." Steve protest before tossing the gum in a trash bin.
"Steve what the hell? I wanted that gum!" I protested.
"When this is over I'll buy you all the gum you want. Just behave yourself Katie." Steve warned.
"I'll try." I grumbled as we began sneaking out of S.H. I.E.L.D.
I felt Nat tap my shoulder. I turned about to glare at her but she handed me the pack of bubblegum with a smirk.
"Thanks." I said popping a piece in my mouth and handing her one as well. She actually wasn't too bad when she wasn't trying to kill you.
"When you're in hiding you learn its better to walk than run." Nat said as we walked through some random mall in Washington D.C.
I might've stopped paying attention to Steve and Nat talking. I more or less looked around at the people. Things were so much different than the 40's and I wasn't sure if I liked it.
"Keep watch." Steve ordered me as we walked into something called a computer store. I stared at people using the things called computers to cope with my boredom.
Natasha was talking science stuff I didn't understand. I only managed to catch bits and pieces.
"How much time?" Steve asked.
"About a nine minute window." Nat replied typing furiously.
Blah blah more science stuff. That's when a guy who worked in the store came over. We're screwed I thought Steve cannot handle talking to people at all.
Let's hope Nat is better and she was. I cringed a little at the mans extremely long golden hair. I couldn't believe men did that these days. But I couldn't judge I was no fashionable person.
"Can I help you guys with anything?" He asks.
Nat immediately but smoothly put an arm around Steve and put on a girly smile. "Oh my fiancé was just helping me pick a honeymoon location." She said in a bubbly girly voice.
"Yes, were married." Steve says stupidly with an uncomfortable look on his face. I nearly face palmed.
"Ooh where are you guys going?" The employee asked.
Steve briefly looks at the screen. "New Jersey." He says quickly. I almost swallowed my gum. Shame. He brings shame to every New Yorker ever. I couldn't help but think.
The employee seemed confused but brushed it off. Instead he started staring at Steve intently. Please don't recognize him I thought over and over again.
"I have the same glasses as you!" The employee finally exclaimed. I sighed in relief.
"Wow you guys are practically twins." Nat remarks still typing furiously.
The employee laughs. "I wish! Specimen! Let me know if you guys need help!" He says before walking off.
