There's like two time-skips whoops.
'I can't believe she gets to leave today,' Yuuri said as he and Viktor entered the waiting room.
After they took her home, the two-week recovery period would begin, since Yura had finally undergone her reassignment surgery. The process was long, requiring an 8-day hospital stay and now that the girl was, well, physically a girl, she needed to rest and heal.
'I'm proud of her,' Viktor replied, happily swinging his husband's hand back and forth. He was such a man baby, Yuuri thought with a smile.
After successfully signing papers, &c, Yura was being transported home and into her bed, at Viktor and Yuuri's apartment, of course. Otabek was leaving for another art tour in a day or two, and leaving Yura alone for two weeks was out of the question.
At the moment, Viktor and Yuuri were house-hunting, trying to find a place that would be big enough for them and whatever other little monsters they decided to adopt. If they adopted, that is. And that is precisely what Viktor was going to talk to Yuuri about right now.
'Yuuri,' he said.
'Yes?'
'Can we talk about something important? It's been on my mind a while now...' Viktor signed nervously, face looking away from Yuuri.
Yura was sleeping now, as she had fallen asleep soon after being moved into her temporary home. The couple were in their room, laying on the bed.
'Of course. What's wrong, Vitya?' Yuuri replied, his voice just a little too loud, but genuinely worried.
Viktor sighed. He turned to face his husband.
'I know we've only been married a couple of months... but I feel like we're ready to... to...' Viktor could not finish his sentence.
'To make love?'
Viktor's face darkened in embarrassment. Yes, he wanted to make love to Yuuri at some point... but not yet. They hadn't even gone on their honeymoon yet because Yuuri wanted to wait until after Yura's transition and recovery.
'No, darling. To adopt kids... start our own family,' He said hurriedly, not wanting to make the atmosphere awkward.
Yuuri's face was pale with shock. His eyes were wide. 'A... a family?'
'Yes! A family!' Viktor replied excitedly.
Yuuri burst into tears. Viktor immediately grew concerned for his husband.
'I'm sorry. Too much?' he asked.
Yuuri shook his head no, replying through his tears, 'I'm happy! So, so happy!'
And then he wrapped himself around Viktor in a tight, warm hug. Viktor was surprised at Yuuri's sudden actions, but he received them with perfect content.
They remained in peaceful silence. Yuuri's actions had really spoken louder than his words, even if those words were silent.
They were going to start a family. Soon.
~Two Months Later~
'Yura!' Viktor yelled happily as the woman slammed open the door to their apartment, which really didn't look like their apartment anymore. It was more like a bunch of boxes, an air mattress and pillows and blankies.
'Hey loser, where's Yuuri?' she asked, placing a large black bag on the floor.
'He's making copies of the house keys,' Viktor hummed, drumming his fingers on the counter.
