Symptoms Saizo x Reader Part 1

Saizo sat on the veranda, slightly harassed. (Y/n) had been acting really weird for the past few weeks. Every time he brought it up, she would deny it and yell at him. He was getting tired of it. He sighed and raised his hand to block the sun from his eyes, looking around the village until he spotted a blonde head of hair.

"Doctor Ren?" He sat up and walked over to him. The blonde smiled and waved once he recognized him. "What are you doing here?"

"I got a letter saying the flu was going around." The doctor explained.

"Oh, yeah. I heard about that. Me and (Y/n) don't have it." Saizo looked at the house and frowned.

"What's wrong? You look upset. Are you and (Y/n) fighting?"

Saizo sighed. "Not exactly.....(Y/n)'s upset about something, but she won't tell me what. She's been acting moody and stays in the bathroom most of the time. Every time I ask her what's wrong, I get the door slammed in my face. She might be on her period or something."

"It sounds like it. I'm sure if you be nice to her, she'll stop being moody." Rennoshin reasoned.

"Its not just that. I swear I heard her throwing up in the bathroom yesterday. And she keeps yelling at me for stupid reasons..."

"She was throwing up? And you say she's been hiding in the bathroom?" Doctor Ren sounded intrigued.

"Yeah...? So what?"

"Well, I have a theory......(Y/n) might be-" Rennoshin was interrupted by a woman tapping his arm.

"Are you the doctor?" She panted, holding her skirts. "Its my son, he's got the flu, could you please help him?"

"Of course. Saizo, I want to come over afterwards to check over (Y/n)." And with that he followed the woman to her house.

"(Y/n) might be what?" Saizo pondered before shrugging. He said he would come over later. He could ask then. He turned to his house and sighed, knowing he had to go back inside to face his wife.

(Y/n) was sitting on the floor, reading a book. Her fingers tapped on the ground and he knew she wasn't really reading the pages. He walked over and sat next to her. Her grip tightening on her book didn't go unnoticed.

"I know you don't want to tell me what's going on, but Doctor Ren was in the area and said he wanted to do a checkup." He looked at the floor and could feel (Y/n)'s glare burning into his head.

"What did you tell him?"

"I said you were being moody and annoying, while you constantly in the bathroom throwing up." He watched her reaction carefully. She glared and threw the book at him. Yup, she was totally on her period.

They didn't speak to each other, tension high in the air. Eventually there was a knock and Saizo got up to answer it. Rennoshin stepped into the house, just as he said he would.

"Hello, (Y/n). How are you?" He smiled at her.

"Fine." The doctor flinched at her glare.

"I'm going to guess your angry that I'm here."

"What was your first clue?" (Y/n) glared at her husband. This was all his fault anyways. Saizo glared right back.

"I didn't tell him to come here, you know. Stop being such a child already." He flicked her forehead and she swiped her hand at his leg.

"Okay, let's just calm down." Rennoshin sweat dropped, trying to make peace. He sat next to (Y/n) and checked her pulse.

"How have you been sleeping?"

"Fine."

"You two are sure neither of you have the flu?"

"Yeah. We would be lying down and throwing up." Saizo sat on the other side of the doctor.

"Have you been throwing up lately?"

"Kinda....." (Y/n) rubbed her shoulder.

"When?"

"This morning. And a few mornings before that...."

"What about your cycle? When was the last time you had it?"

(Y/n) thought for a moment. "I was supposed to have it two days ago, but I guess its just late. I missed the last one as well."

Ren adjusted his glasses. "When was the last time you two had sexual intercourse?"

She felt her cheeks heat up and she looked at Saizo. He had a small blush on his face as well. "About two weeks ago."

"You started putting on weight two weeks ago...." Saizo muttered under his breath. (Y/n) slapped him.

"I knew it." He snapped his fingers.

"What the heck do you mean, 'you knew it'?" Doctor Ren looked at her with a wide smile.

"Those sound like the symptoms of being pregnant."

Kathryn: Be lucky I didn't have you where you insult (Y/n) while she was pregnant and have her get upset.

Saizo: I will shut up now.
