Dusk had fallen over Kyoto. A silent figure crept through the fading sunlight and slipped into the home of the most powerful family in the area. The Yagyu estate.

(Y/n) hid behind the doors and plants as maids walked around, finishing up their cleaning and preparing for bed. When the coast was clear, she slipped into the nearest room and began to search.

What was she after? The Enchiridion scroll. Her underlings had informed her that it had moved from Iga to the Capital, and somehow that was the reason the war had ended.

(Y/n) stiffened she when she heard muffled footsteps behind her. She saw the glint of a sword and she reacted instantly. She reached into the pouch on her leg and drew a knife with her right hand, deflecting the attack.

Violet hair caught her gaze. "Lord Yagyu. To what do I owe the pleasure of meeting you first-hand?"

He stepped forward, sizing up the intruder. "What do you want with me?"

"Aww, you think I'm here for you? So selfish." Her voice dripped with sarcasm. She kept her back to him and stuck her free hand behind her, opening the drawers of his dresser and sifting through the contents.

His eyes twitched. This woman had the audacity to continue searching his room right in front of him?

  "Get out."

"Oh dear. Is that any way to treat a woman in your home?" She looked back slightly, trying seeing what she was touching.

"Your not my guest. Your breaking in and stealing. Now get out before I make you!"

"Oh, I'm sorry, your lordship." Her voice practically sagged with mock respect. "It was just simply awful that I just decided to come here isn't it?"

Her hand felt the edge of a scroll. She made the mistake of turning away from him when she checked the scroll.

  "Get her!"

A pair of hands grabbed her arms and locked them above her head. Two guards stood on either side of her, ready to attack if needed.

(Y/n) tutted. "Calling the guards so soon? Quite cowardly if you ask me."

"I wasn't asking you." Munenori glared at her. "What is your purpose for being here?"

"And why should I tell you?" She sneered at him.

"Because with one command I can have you killed."

"I've got a little confession to make, I'm afraid." She mocked at him. She lifted her foot and slammed her heel into the guards leg. When her arms were released, she pulled out a second knife from her pouch and sliced it across his face. He howled in pain, and (Y/n) kicked him aside.

The second guard grabbed her by her hair and tried to throw her onto the ground. She twisted in his grip and drove the knife into his chest. But she didn't stop there. She thrusted the weapon into the man so far that her fist was touching his organs. She yanked her arm out viciously, the guard falling to the ground.

The last guard actually brought her to her knees. He grabbed her wrists and tried to wrestle the knife out of her hand. She fought with him until his grip slackened. Seeing the opportunity, she ripped her left hand out of his grasp and brutally stabbed his temple, then tossed him aside as if he was paper.

She straightened up and turned away from her murders and smiled at him. "I'm not left handed."

A cold rush of fear clouded over Munenori. This woman and slain three of his best men while smiling. Feeling adrenaline beginning to build, he raised his sword at her.
