"Kyoto, the capital of Iga. Lord Yagyu's estate should be right up here....."

"(Y/n).........are you sure this is the right way? My feet hurt....." A short girl with shoulder-length blue hair whined. She had her arms around her sister's and was slowly dragging behind.

"Yes Levy, I'm sure this is the way. And we've only been walking for an hour!"

"Yeah, and that's an hour too long! I haven't even gotten a chance to read my book all day!" Levy held up her golden lined book, which was almost twice as large as her.

"Relax. Look, it's right up here. You can sit in the stands and read there, okay?" (Y/n) pointed to the massive estate. It towered impressively above the other houses. In front was a large swordfighting arena lined with cherry blossom trees.

"It's so pretty!" All of Levy's afflictions seemed to have melted away at the sight. "I can't believe Lord Yagyu if holding a competition to find a bride!"

"Yeah." A cluster of women were waiting by the trees. Some we're comparing swords and chatting happily. Others were filing their nails or glaring competitively at the other women.

Levy felt a wave of intimidation flood though her. All these women seemed highly trained and skilled. "Sis, are you gonna be okay?"

"I'll be alright, promise. You know me." (Y/n) ruffled her sister's hair lightly. "Now go on."

Levy hugged her sister before hurting over to the stands to sit. She grabbed the book under her arm and began reading intently. She hardly noticed when a tall man with long purple hair sat next to her.

Levy glanced through her glasses over at the man as he sat down, his glinting sword catching her eye. She stared at it, admiring how it blended beautifully with the white and purple hilt. She had never seen such a magnificent sword in her life!

Hastily, Levy began flipping feverishly through the pages of her book, scouring the pictures of different swords to locate a match. She found nothing.

The man glanced at her, hearing the pages turn loudly. He raised an eyebrow at her, wondering what she was looking for. Levy looked up, making eye contact.

"Oh, I'm sorry! Am I bothering you?"

She spoke so casually, catching the Lord off guard. Most people spoke with much more respect. "No. What are you doing?"

"Oh! Umm," The bluette blushed faintly. " Your sword caught my eye. I was trying to find out what it was made off in my book." She tilted the book so he could see the pictures of swords littering the pages.

"Are you a participant?" Munenori asked, intrigued by her book. Her knowledge of the weapons would be useful in the competition. Though how someone so small could wield such weapons was beyond him.

"Ah, no. But my sister is!" Levy stood up and grabbed Munenori's shoulder to steady herself as she leaned forward to get a better look at the cluster of women waiting for the competition to start.

Lord Yagyu was astonished to say the least. No one had ever touched him without permission. Did this woman even know who he was?

"Uhm.....there!" Levy spotted her sister and pointed. "The (s/c), (h/c) girl with wearing the silver armor!"

Munenori followed her hand to the waiting woman and found who Levy was talking about. 'she's not half bad looking....'

"Seems like you've made a friend." A tall man with dark green hair tied in a ponytail sat next to Munenori. He had two sword sheaths strapped to his side, instantly catching Levy's attention.

"Those swords are made of titanium, right?" She asked excitedly. She sat on her knees and still held onto Munenori's shoulder so she could see the man's face.

"Hm? Oh, yeah. You study swords?"

"I'm a blacksmith, like my father. I test my equipment on my sister." Levy explained.

"Sounds like you know what your doing." Musashi smiled.

"Sometimes they break, so I gave (Y/n) my best swords for the competition. The other girls will have a hard time beating her. She'll win for sure!"

"How are you so sure your sister will win?" Munenori asked. "What makes you think she won't be defeated by another swords woman?"

"Because," Levy turned to him, "my sister doesn't want to marry Lord Yagyu."

Munenori's eyes widened. He had not expected that response. "If she doesn't want to marry him, why is she participating?"

"(Y/n) wants to ask him a favor. I've asked her what it is, but she won't tell me. Whatever it is, she seemed serious. And whenever she's serious about something, she won't let anything stand in her way."

"Must be important if she's going through all this trouble." Levy nodded.

"My sister can be a bit hotheaded, and when she wants something, she won't let it go, no matter how ridiculous."

"A hotheaded swordsman that won't let anything go no matter how ridiculous, huh? Sounds like someone I know...." Musashi leaned towards Munenori's face and laughed when he shoved his face away, the faintest blush on his cheeks.

"Why are you even here, Musashi!? You not allowed to fight."

"True, but it's a bunch of women swordfighting. Honestly, I've never seen such a hot sight." Musashi grinned and leaned back. "I might even be able to fight a few of them..."

Munenori sighed. Why did he even ask? One of Lord Yagyu's servants walked up to the arena and addressed the women.

"Alright! The competition is about to begin!"

Munenori: And it only took you a year. Consider myself impressed.

Kathryn: Thank you! I got this idea from Fairy Tail. After I watched Erza's fight against 100 monsters. But don't worry! It won't be exactly like that. I'd get sued •^•;

Sasuke: WAIT!! Is he the "special one" you mentioned earlier!?

Kathryn: Well, no.

Munenori: I feel so honored. -×-
